Cops have released footage of a man suspected of recently knifing another guy in a Greenwich Village subway station after a squabble out on the street.
The 26-year-old victim was with a group of people outside a convenience store on West Third Street and Sixth Avenue in Manhattan around 4 a.m. Oct. 2 when the suspect said something to a woman in the group, police said.
The comment prompted the victim to confront him, following him into the West Fourth Street subway station on the A, C and E lines, authorities said.
The suspect (above) allegedly said something to a woman on the street before heading into the station. A 26-year-old victim in the incident was taken to Bellevue Hospital to treat injuries. The suspect stabbed the victim in the abdomen, per police. According to authorities, the suspect had followed the victim in the A, C and E lines of the subway station.
The men’s argument escalated in the station — where they engaged in “mutual combat,” cops said.
At some point, the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed his rival in the right side of his abdomen, cops said.
The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
No arrests have been made.
