A Connecticut creep was arraigned in Westchester County for allegedly taking photos up the skirt of a female passenger on a Metro-North train.
Majid Hedayati, 66, of Riverside, was on a Connecticut line train heading northbound toward Stamford on Sept. 23, when he sat down across a woman wearing a skirt on the train, the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office announced on Thursday.
Hedayati allegedly then tried to use his cellphone to take pictures of the woman’s “genital area” before the woman’s friend realized what was going on, officials said.
“The victim’s friend, who was sitting directly next to the defendant, observed Hedayati taking the photos, confronted him and reported him to a conductor,” the DA’s office said.
Hedayati was detained by Metropolitan Transit Authority Police at Grand Central Station weeks later on Oct. 13

He was formally charged with unlawful surveillance in municipal court in Harrison on Oct. 19.
The case is being prosecuted by the Westchester County Special Prosecutions Division Sex Crimes Bureau, the DA’s office said.
Hedayati is scheduled to appear again in Harrison Town Court on Dec. 14, 2021.
