CINCINNATI -- A University of Cincinnati basketball player was expelled and kicked off the team for allegedly having a gun on campus this week, News 5 reported.
School officials said freshman forward Roy Bright was dismissed from the team by head coach Bob Huggins after Bright confirmed he was in possession of a firearm.
The incident is under investigation by UC police.
Bright, a 6 foot 6 inch-tall forward from Durham, N.C., played
in all 33 games for the Bearcats as this past season. He averaged about 14 points per game.
