Man arrested for kidnapping, sexual assault
BATON ROUGE - East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Deputies have arrested one man for multiple charges regarding to sexual assault.
BATON ROUGE - East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Deputies have arrested one man for multiple charges regarding to sexual assault.
Christopher Johnson, 34, of Baton Rouge is charged with aggravated assault with a firearm, second degree kidnapping, first degree forcible rape and first degree robbery.
On July 26, 2013, the deputies responded to a call to the 6600 block of Marionette Drive. The victim told deputies she was taking out the trash from her home on Plank Road. Johnson drove up to the victim and said something to her. The victim was hearing impaired and asked him what he was saying. Johnson then pulled the victim to the vehicle and drove off.
The suspect brought the victim to an apartment complex where he raped her. Then, the suspect drove the victim to a park where he forced her out of the vehicle at gunpoint. Johnson took off with the victim's purse and cell phone.
Deputies located Johnson and obtained a search warrant for an oral DNA swab from him. Johnson's DNA matched with the DNA found after the victim's rape kit was conducted.
