(KIRKSVILLE, Mo.) Authorities are searching for
man suspected of killing two people and injuring two more in a shooting in Kirksville, Missouri. According to the Kirksville Police Department, officers responded to a report of shots fired just before 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 30.

When police arrived on scene, they found multiple victims with gunshot wounds. Police said an 18-month-old child was pronounced dead at the scene and Braxton Cottrill, 22, was transported to University Hospital in Columbia where he later died.

In a news release, police said Alissa Anders, 18, was hospitalized in critical condition and Randall Yarrington, 21, was taken to a medical facility and treated for gunshot wounds.

Police identified Anquan Eugene Glover as a suspect in the shooting. As of Friday, police have been unable to locate Glover. According to the news release, police believe the suspect and victims knew each other and believe the victims were targeted.

Hi, my name is Jeanne Hartley. I am the Aunt of Alissa Anders. On December 30, 2021. Alissa was one of the victims of the shooting tragedy in kirksville, Missouri. Alissa was 35 weeks pregnant and life flighted to University hospital in Columbia,MO. With a gun shot to her head. Alissa is in critical condition. Alissa had to have emergency C-section to save her and her unborn sons lives.

and is doing good in the NICU. Alissa is fighting for her life right now. Her father Kevin Anders and Grandmother Shirley Anders is staying there with Alissa and Kylan. They are needing help with expenses in order to stay with Alissa and Kylan. ALL money will go toward hotel, traveling and food expenses and for Alissa and Kylan. We appreciate all the support from everyone and hope you will continue to pray for Alissa and Kylan. Thank You!

On Thursday, December 30, 2021, Kirksville Police responded to a report of shots fired in the 700 block of West Dodson. Police arrived and found multiple victims with apparent gunshot wounds outside and inside a nearby residence.

The victims were identified as;
  • Braxton A. A. Cottrill, 22 years old, was transported to University Hospital in Columbia and was later pronounced dead.
  • Infant/toddler, 18 months, died at the scene.
  • Alissa Anders, 18 years old, was transported to University Hospital in Columbia and is in critical condition.
  • Randall C. L. Yarrington, 21 years old, was transported to a medical facility and treated for gunshot wounds.
Police were provided with a suspect in this incident who was identified as Anquan Eugene Glover, black, male, 5’11” tall, 145 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. Glover was apprehended by US Marshals and the Missouri State Highway Patrol on Monday afternoon, January 10, 2022.
