Malik Drummond's Father Had Prior Arrests

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - With the arrest of Malik Drummond's father in the missing two-year-old's death, we're taking a look into Jeff Clifton's past.
We found several arrest records and police reports for Clifton dating back nearly a decade.
In December 2006, he was arrested in Judsonia for marijuana possession after a car he was riding in was pulled over in a traffic stop.
In May 2007, also in Judsonia, Clifton was fined $300 for having no liability insurance on his vehicle.
In March 2011, Clifton was ordered to pay a $75 fine for violation of a pit bull ordinance.
In 2013, an arrest warrant was issued for Clifton for contempt of court in the 2011 case.

SEARCY, Ark. (KTHV) – According to the Searcy Police Department, an arrest has been made in the case of missing Searcy two-year-old, Malik Drummond.

On Tuesday, the father of the child, 43-year-old Jeffery Leroy Clifton, of Searcy was arrested and charged with capital murder and abuse of a corpse.

Clifton's girlfriend told police the toddler wandered away from their home the evening of Nov. 23, 2014, while Clifton was sleeping. Dozens of volunteers spent weeks scouring the neighborhood about 50 miles northeast of Little Rock.
