COBB COUNTY, Ga.
– At approximately 3:00 PM on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, a man walked into the Smyrna Police Department headquarters and handed two officers paperwork for the “chief,” he said. Five minutes later, the officers suspected the man had poisoned them due to “respiratory distress and extreme fatigue.”
The officers were rushed to the hospital and continued to experience difficulty breathing and fatigue, as well as dizziness, chest pain, and tightness. Officials reported that the two victims are recovering after being discharged from the hospital.
Authorities arrested Little Stone III later that day and charged him with two counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer. Police transported him to the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, where he remains without bond.

Stone III’s arrest warrant reveals that he entered the police headquarters while recording on a tablet. He spoke with the clerk and then two officers about “Smyrna Police and Governor Brian Kemp,” according to Atlanta News First.
He allegedly requested the police chief’s business card and that they deliver “some paperwork” to the chief. They accepted the papers from him, and he “quickly exited the building.”
The FBI stated that they possess the papers and are collaborating with local law enforcement to test them for substances.

This is an active investigation.
