Cops: Comic assaulted film extra on Memphis movie set

JULY 28--Actor Anthony Anderson was charged today with the aggravated rape of a woman who police say was assaulted after being lured into a production trailer on a Memphis movie set. According to the Shelby County Sheriff's Office, Anderson, 33, and Wayne Witherspoon, 42, attacked the woman, a movie extra, yesterday afternoon. The woman told cops that Witherspoon forcibly removed her clothes once she was inside the trailer. She told investigators that A

and took pictures of her while she was nude." A witness told o
fficers that he heard the woman screaming and managed to unlock the trailer's door. At that point, the naked woman ran from the vehicle, which was parked on the grounds of the Shelby County Corrections Center, where scenes from director John Singleton's "Hustle & Flow" were being shot. Now there is a surprise, a famous 'n-gger' with money raping a woman and then denying it ever happened. I go by a basic rule when looking at cases like this. My rule is this, if a 'n-gger' is involved, then he is guilty, period!!!!! 'n-gger's are born guilty, it's that simple.

I also don't like the current trend of movies having coons in lead roles with White actresses. This is just looking for trouble.

Comic actor Anthony Anderson is facing some dead-serious accusations.

The portly star of Barbershop and Kangaroo Jack was charged Wednesday with aggravated rape for an alleged assault on an extra on the set of his latest movie, Hustle & Flow, authorities in Memphis, Tennessee, said.

placing white actors with negros in remakes too. It's only a matter of time before King Arthur is played by Denzel Washington.

Comic Actor Charged With Rape In Tennessee

MEMPHIS, Tennessee (CNN)Actor Anthony Anderson, who appeared in the films Me, Myself and Irene and Barbershop, was charged Wednesday with aggravated rape after a woman told authorities she was assaulted on the set of a movie.

Anderson, 33, and Wayne Witherspoon, 42, both of Los Angeles, California, were taken into custody Tuesday night after the woman reported the assault, said Steve Shular, Shelby County Sheriff's Department public affairs office

Anderson was in Memphis shooting a movie titled Hustle & Flow. Witherspoon was working on the film's crew.

Charges were filed against both men Wednesday afternoon. Shular said bond was

expected to be set at $20,000 for
each man.

They will be arraigned in General Sessions Court Thursday morning, according to Jennifer Donnals, communications director for the Shelby County district attorney's office.

Shular said the crew had been shooting at the Shelby County Correctional Center, a work farm for jail inmates, and the assault allegedly occurred at the site after production ended Tuesday.

Shular said an extra told deputies that she was lured into a production trailer by Witherspoon. She told authorities that Anderson was already in the trailer and that both men sexually assaulted her, Shular said.

Witnesses reported seeing the woman leave the trailer screaming and without her clothes, Shular said.

The woman was taken to a hospital, but authorities
would not say Wednesday if she had been released.

A spokesman for Anderson in Los Angeles released a brief statement Wednesday saying that the actor absolutely denies the heinous charges th

Wealthy negros are a laugh-a-minute, aren't they! Even with tons of $$$ these savages still have some sort of genetically programmed twisted need to sexually assault women. We have seen this pattern so many times that it simply can't be mere coincidence. Odd, since they could simply rent stunningly beautiful prostitutes for mere kilobucks -- don't you think? To them sexual assault is more of a kick -- like our "first black President said," they do it because they can. And not only can they do it, they routinely get away with it.

Extra claims sex assault by actor, assistant director

comic star Anthony Anderson and an assistant director in the movie "Hustle & Flow" were bailed out of the Shelby County Jail Wednesday night after being accused of raping a movie extra.

fter the female extra in the movie ran naked from a trailer on a set, saying she was sexually assaulted.


General Sessions Criminal Court Judge Louis Montesi Wednesday afternoon signed an affidavit filed by deputies accusing the two men of aggravated rape, and set bond at $20,000.

Attorney Walter Bailey, who is representing Anderson, called the charges "unfounded," and said his client would be vindicated.

Through a spokesman, Anderson issued a statement in which he "absolutely denies the heinous charges that have been made against him."

The statement describes Anderson as a happily m
arried family man, and it states "we are confident that when all the facts come out, he will be completely exonerated."

Anderson's comic scene-stealing, gap-toothed smile and b

erous presence have made him an audience favorite, especially among children.

He has appeared in "Barbershop" (as the hapless thief who steals an ATM), "Me, Myself & Irene," "Kangaroo Jack," and "Agent Cody Banks
2." His latest movie, "Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle," opens Friday.

Witherspoon, second assistant director on "Hustle & Flow," also has worked on the crews of such films as "Ali," "Star Trek: Insurrection" and the upcoming "Collateral" with Tom Cruise.

Last week, Anderson and several other cast members drew applause from 140 inner-city children after encouraging young people to follow their dreams and stay in school.

The "Hustle & Flow" crew began shooti
ng here July 9, and was expected to wrap Aug. 6.

Local filmmaker Craig Brew er said he was inside his trailer at the time of the incident and would not comment on the arrests. Neithe

the film's producers, who include John Singleton, the director of "Boyz N the Hood," who is financing the current movie's $2.8 million budget himself.

The arrests stopped a two-day shoot at the correction facility at 1045 Mullins Station. It was unclear how it would affect the movie schedule.

Anderson, who has a key supporting
role as a friend of the movie's pimp protagonist, still has many scenes to shoot. Wednesday's filming was at the King of Clubs, a closed strip club on Brooks Road.

Deputies were called to the Correction Center about 4:30 p.m. by George Little, director of the facility, who told them a sexual assault had occurred.

The alleged victim, he said, had been taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Hospital.

s, 60, heard screaming and unlocked the trailer door from the outside, and the woman ran out naked, according to the charges. It was not clear whether Williams, who gave officers a Lo

rea phone number, was part of the movie crew.

The 25-year-old woman told police she was lured into the trailer by Witherspoon, who then exposed himself. Anderson, she said, joined in the assault. She said her clothes were removed and she was sexually assaulted by both men.

She said the two held her down and took graphic pictures with a camera telephone. Investigators s
aid a camera-phone had been recovered, but not the photo chip.

Little, who said he first assumed an inmate had caused the commotion, described the woman as "distraught."

Deputies "questioned a number of folks," he said, and escorted the two men off the set late Tuesday. Little said his employees secured the scene and kept everyone on the set until the officers arrived.

A judicial commissioner, wh
ose job is to determine whether probable cause has been established in a sworn statement by police, declined to sign off on the charges late Tuesday.

The commissioner, Damita Dandridge, would not say Wednesday why she did not approve the affidavit.

Little said the crew was not back at the Correction Center Wednesday for the second day of shooting. "This needs to get sorted out" before any further shooting is done at the facility, he said.

The two sus
pects face 15 to 20 years in prison if convicted. Henderson said they were charged with aggravated rape because it allegedly involved two attackers.

Anthony Anderson Sued for Sexual Assault

A woman has filed suit against Anthony Anderson and Warner Bros. TV, alleging the actor sexually assaulted her after a Los Angeles TV show taping.

A woman identified as Jane Doe filed the $900,000 suit Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, two months after Anderson was accused of raping a woman, Entertainment Tonight reported Thursday.

The alleged assaul
occurred after taping an episode of All About the Andersons, when the plaintiff said Anderson invited her to his dressing room, where he made suggestive comments, grabbed her genital area and sexually assa

ulted her.

In July, Anderson was charged with raping a woman who appeared as an extra on Hustle & Flow,' a film he was shooting.
