MIDDLESEX COUNTY: A Piscataway man was sentenced yesterday to 69 years in prison for bludgeoning his wife with a hammer and a board spiked with nails in the kitchen of their West Seventh Street home.
Superior Court Judge Phillip Paley ordered 33-year-old Charles Rashid to serve 59 years and three months of the sentence before being eligible for parole.
Rashid was convicted on May 7 of killing his wife, 33-year-old <s
