SEATTLE — After a string of violent home invasions over recent months in Seattle, Everett, Mountlake Terrace, and Mill Creek, police have now arrested three suspects, who are believed to be behind them all.

The crimes police said they committed were brazen, and their victims were left traumatized. New court documents KING 5 obtained describe the terrifying moments they were faced with in their own homes in the middle of the night.

One example was from a home in Mountlake Terrace earlier this year, where police believe the suspects held an entire family at gunpoint for more than an hour, including a 4-year-old and 9-year-old.

"If you could only imagine being woken up in the middle of the night with a pistol pointed at you or a rifle," said Commander Scott King with Mountlake Terrace Police Department. "And having children in the home, and being worried for them."

Court documents say that four armed men broke into that family's home through an unlocked window.

"A very scary situation," said King.

Police said the suspects proceeded to sift through the house, stealing valuables. One of the suspects even made the victim open his home surveillance app and delete all surveillance video of their break-in, court documents allege, and later removed the cameras to prevent any more recordings.

About a month prior, police said four armed suspects actually acted similarly during another home invasion near the Lake City neighborhood of Seattle. Detectives in both cities compared notes and found striking similarities.

"The methods they used, the whereabouts of the subjects," King said. "I think they would have continued to do this until somebody caught them."

King said the arrest took "a lot of teamwork," particularly during the arrest, which included Seattle SWAT and North Sound Metro SWAT.

"One subject did try to run, there was a short foot pursuit, and that subject did have a firearm on him but was safely taken into custody," he said.

Besides just robbery, allegations against the suspects also include kidnapping, assault and car theft.

The suspects are all men, ages 20, 21, and 27. They've all been booked into jail, where they face bail upwards of $500,000.

We met up with the King County Prosecuting Attorney's spokesperson, Casey McNerthney.

"When you have somebody who's held on such a high bail like this on such serious charges, on a court order like that, it it would be unlikely of them without posting bail to be out," said McNerthney. "Those are some of the most serious cases that we see, and I think the public looking at this, can expect police and prosecutors to act just the way they'd hope they would."

As soon as Friday or Monday, the three could be formally charged, and at that point, pre-trial motions begin.

Court documents reveal disturbing new details about a group of robbery suspects accused of breaking into multiple homes while victims were asleep and holding them hostage in their own homes.

Police have arrested three suspects in connection with a string of home invasion robberies in north Seattle neighborhoods, including Olympic Hills and Lake City, where the suspects held the victims up at gunpoint while they ransacked the house for electronics and valuables, even forcing victims to hand over bank account information, phones, and passwords.

While police have arrested three suspects so far, there is at least one suspect still on the loose.

The victims in some of these incidents were held at gunpoint in their homes for nearly an hour while the suspects demanded account information, with one of the suspects even leaving the home to test a bank card to make sure it worked before letting the victims go.

“Ever since then, we keep our front door bolted all the time, even during the day when we’re up,” Jess Ramey, who lives near one of the victims, said. “I’m sure it was a bit shocking to find somebody in your house whether they’ve got a gun on you or not.”

Neighbors in the Olympic Hills and Lake City neighborhoods have been on edge ever since multiple homes were hit by a group of armed robbers holding victims hostage in the middle of the night.

“I just felt terrible. I felt really sad for them to have to go through something like that, to be awakened in their own house, and of course, it’s hard not to think, well, what if it had happened to you?” Victoria Stiles, who lives near one of the victims, said.

According to court documents, the victims in one case were held at gunpoint in their home for 45 minutes, and the suspects “forced the victims to log into their banking portals and provide access to the suspects, allowing them to view their limits or balances.”

Court records also state, “the suspects told the victims not to cancel the bank cards or lock the electronics, and threatened to return and harm them if they did not follow their instructions.”

Police arrested three suspects, linking them to the case through surveillance video and purchases they made with the victim’s credit cards and accounts, racking up hundreds of dollars through Best Buy, DoorDash, and video games.

Two of the suspects made their first appearance in a King County courtroom Thursday afternoon, where the judge ordered their faces not be recorded by media.

One suspect’s girlfriend even spoke in court to try and advocate for his release.

“He means a lot to the people around him. I’m not sure what’s going on here with everything, but he’s a good guy,” she said. :ROFLMAO:

Prosecutors stated in court multiple suspects also have other pending criminal charges for burglary, domestic violence assault, and unlawful possession of a firearm and were out on release in those cases when they allegedly committed these crimes.

SEATTLE — Police are searching for three men they say robbed a husband and wife at gunpoint in the early-morning hours Sunday in northeast Seattle.

According to the Seattle Police Department (SPD), the incident occurred around 3 a.m. on the 14000 block of 25th Avenue Northeast in the Olympic Hills neighborhood. The husband told officers he was asleep downstairs when his dog woke him up and he heard his wife scream from upstairs, the SPD said. He was then confronted by the suspects, two of whom pointed guns at him and his wife, demanding valuables, the SPD added.

Two of the suspects ransacked the home looking for "anything of value," and the husband and wife were told not to move before the suspects left, according to the SPD.

The suspects were described as three men between 18 and 25 and 5-foot-10 to 6-1, according to the SPD. Two of the men were Black and one was white, and all were described as tall and thin with black facemasks, black sweatshirts, black pants, gloves and black shoes, the SPD added.

Police said when they arrived to the scene, the couple was "shaken up."
