Police Arrest Tulsa Teen In The Jail On First-Degree Murder Complaint

TULSA, Oklahoma - A Tulsa teenager is arrested on a first-degree murder complaint after police say a residential burglary back in July turned deadly.

He is identified as 19-year-old Malachi Bagsby.

Jail records show Bagsby has been behind bars since his arrest on September 21st on a burglary complaint.

On Monday, October 8th, police asked the Tulsa County DA office to charge Malachi Bagsby with first-degree murder and arrested him in his jail cell.

His arrest report shows Bagsby broke into a woman's apartment on July 19th as she slept. Police say Bagsby allegedly assaulted the resident, injuring her leg.

Investigators say the victim who was taken to a Tulsa hospital, developed a blood clot while in the hospital, causing her death.

The report says Bagsby allegedly stole the woman's debit and credit cards and used them at several stores.

Tulsa Police Arrest Two Suspects In July Homicide

TULSA, Oklahoma - Tulsa police have arrested two men after a July burglary turned deadly for one Tulsa woman.

19-year-old Malachi Bagsby and 27-year-old Labrandon Nichols were arrested Tuesday, charged with burglary and the murder of Tonya Southern.

Southern was assaulted in her home during the burglary in which she sustained injuries that led to her death weeks later.

Detectives are still looking for two other suspects in relation to the crime.

One of four still sought in death of woman after home-invasion robbery

One person is still being sought by police in connection to a July home-invasion robbery that resulted in the death of a 43-year-old woman in September from complications after sustaining injuries during the invasion.

Tulsa police on Thursday arrested 16-year-old Diondra Green on an outstanding warrant stemming from the case, Tulsa Police Sgt. Brandon Watkins said. Officers previously arrested two others, Malachi Bagsby, 19, and Labrandon Nichols, 27.

The alleged fourth suspect, 17-year-old Victor Johnson, has not yet been arrested. Johnson was described in a probable cause affidavit as a black male, about 5-foot-7, 120 pounds.
