Prosecutors Request $250,000 Bond

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Jackson County prosecutors charged a 16-year-old in a carjacking Sunday near the Country Club Plaza.
Jarvell J. Henderson was charged with first-degree robbery and armed criminal action on Monday.
Police said they were called to Courtyard Marriott Hotel at about 10 p.m.
The victim told officers he had parked in the hotel's parking lot and was gathering belongings from the car when two people walked up to him and asked him for the time. One of robbers then pulled a gun and demanded the victim's wallet and car keys. The robbers took off.
Police later spotted the victim's car at 45th and Main streets. Officers took the driver, identified as Henderson, into custody.
Prosecutors have requested a $250,000 cash bond.
