In a landmark decision, a UK court has sentenced an antisemite to 18 weeks in prison for disseminating grossly offensive material and messages on social media denying the Holocaust.

The sentencing makes Alison Chabloz the first person in the UK to be jailed specifically for Holocaust denial, under the terms of the 2003 Communications Act.

The Campaign Against Antisemitism organization, which has been heavily involved in bringing Chabloz to trial, welcomed the sentencing, saying it would provide protection to the UK Jewish community from her and others who would spread such material.

The UK does not have any specific statute criminalizing Holocaust denial, but the Communications Act prohibits the transmission of messages or material via electronic communications networks that is grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing nature.

Chabloz was convicted by Westminster Magistrates’ Court, and sentenced on Wednesday by District Judge Michael Snow to 18 weeks in prison, of which she will serve nine.

Chabloz, 57, was convicted for comments she made in an interview with a far-right online radio station in 2019.

“The Jews, they need to stop indoctrinating their children, you know, their grandparents were gassed just because they were Jews,” she said. “No wonder they grow up into psychotic maniacs. They are indoctrinated from birth with this bullsh*t, and they’ve been doing the same for centuries, even before the Holocaust.”

In a separate interview with a different radio station, Chabloz said that “anything that’s worth controlling will have Jews there controlling it.”

Chabloz accused Jews of inventing the Holocaust in order to profit financially. Hitler’s treatment of European Jews was caused by bad Jewish behavior, she added, and insisted that there was nothing wrong with saying “Hitler was right.” Chabloz claimed that the judge who convicted her had been intimidated by the “Jewish lobby.”

She then publicized the interviews on Gab account, a social networking site associated with neo-Nazis and other extremists.

Snow ruled that the Jewish community needs to be protected, and that Chabloz’s comments were grossly offensive.

This is not Chabloz’s first conviction for disseminating antisemitic material. She was convicted in 2017 by the same court, under the Communications Act, for antisemitic songs she posted on social media, which included the lines: “Now Auschwitz, holy temple, is a theme park just for fools, the gassing zone a proven hoax, indoctrination rules,” and “History repeats itself, no limit to our wealth, thanks to your debts we’re bleeding you dry. We control your media, control all your books and TV…”

She was given a two-year suspended sentence of 20 weeks in prison by the Westminster Magistrates’ Court.

“Alison Chabloz’s repulsive opinions about Jews can be traced back to the beer halls of 1930s Germany,” said Stephen Silverman, director of Investigations and Enforcement at Campaign Against Antisemitism. “Despite already having been convicted of similar offenses, she continued, while serving her suspended sentence, to use the Internet to attempt to radicalize others and convert them to her hateful way of thinking about Jewish people.

“Today’s verdict and sentence finally give the Jewish community justice and protection from someone who has made a vocation out of denying the Holocaust and baiting Jews. It also sends a clear message to those who might be tempted to go down the same path.”

Our 5 year fight to imprison Holocaust denier Alison Chabloz

Alison Chabloz first came to our attention in 2015 as an unremarkable musician with a remarkable compulsion to promote Holocaust-denial. One of the most virulent antisemites to have appeared on the Campaign Against Antisemitism’s radar, this self-professed “patriot” routinely wonders aloud whether the wrong side won World War II, believes Nazi Germany has been falsely vilified, and enthusiastically shares videos that exonerate Hitler.

Over time, her behaviour became increasingly extreme. She made prolific use of Twitter to bait and harass Jews. She trolled the Auschwitz Museum during the run-up to Holocaust Memorial Day. She asked a prominent American rabbi “When are Jews going to apologise for the ritual murder of Christian children?” She accused Jews of behaving in a manner that will bring about another Holocaust.

We reported Chabloz to the police at the end of 2015, but for a surreal period of time, she succeeded in persuading the police to treat her as a victim, on the basis that the reaction on Twitter to her constant outpouring of antisemitic hatred constituted harassment.

In the summer of 2016, Chabloz uploaded to YouTube a home-made video in which she performed one of her own songs. The content was so appalling that even hardened researchers who had spent years combating antisemitism were shaken. We decided enough was enough. We assembled an expert pro bono legal team led by renowned QC Jonathan Goldberg, and began a private prosecution charging Chabloz with three offences under the Communications Act.

The CPS eventually took over and continued the prosecution and in the summer of 2018, in a landmark ruling, Chabloz was convicted on all three counts, but she was spared prison.

By now, two things about Chabloz had become clear. First, she considered promoting Holocaust denial to be her life’s work. Second, being incapable of distinguishing between fame and infamy, she reveled in the attention that had come her way. It was therefore unlikely she would stop offending, so we continued to monitor her incitement and compile evidence.

Dedicated CAA volunteers spent countless hours watching video and listening to audio gathered from extremist hangouts on the internet. The material, all of it hateful and distressing, had to be meticulously analysed to create a sufficiently compelling dossier of evidence. It was a lengthy and laborious task, but getting the right outcome is a marathon, not a sprint.

Ultimately, it was two interviews given online to vehemently antisemitic extremist podcasts that proved to be the catalyst for her arrest and second conviction – this time leading to prison. Thanks to more forensic work carried out by CAA volunteers, one of those podcast hosts is also now separately awaiting trial, charged with inciting racial hatred.

Alison Chabloz, a vicious antisemite who is committed to the task of persuading others to share her hateful views about Jewish people is now behind bars. Inevitably, some will ask questions about freedom of expression, but the rights enshrined in Article 10 of the European Convention of Human Rights do not extend to those spreading racist hatred. Chabloz was not only convicted because she says the Holocaust is a fairytale, but due to her relentless campaign to convince people that Jews are liars and thieves who wickedly invented a fake genocide in order to enrich themselves at the expense of others. Her narrative is designed to nurture a loathing of Jewish people in anybody who is susceptible to believing it.

The courts have rightly decided such hatred cannot be tolerated in our open and inclusive society and, with this latest verdict and sentence, sent a clear message to others who might feel inclined to emulate her. For that, everybody who cares about real British values has reason to be thankful. Meanwhile at CAA, we continue our work to defend the Jewish community.

(JTA) — Canada is set to outlaw Holocaust denial, a move that has the backing of the governing Liberal Party government coalition and the opposition Conservative Party.

The CTV reported on Saturday that language adding Holocaust denial to the criminal code is in the must-pass government budget.
Coalition officials cast the change as consistent with existing Canadian laws criminalizing incitement to hatred and promotion of genocide.

“There is no place for antisemitism and Holocaust denial in Canada,” Marco Mendicino, the public safety minister, told CTV.

“That’s why we’ve pledged to prohibit the wilful promotion of antisemitism through condoning, denying or downplaying the Holocaust. The Holocaust was one of the darkest chapters in human history. We must preserve its memory, combat contemporary antisemitism and be unequivocal when we say: never again.”

Irwin Cotler, the veteran human rights activist who is currently Canada’s special envoy on preserving Holocaust remembrance and combating antisemitism, said: “Holocaust denial and distortion constitute a cruel assault on memory, truth, and justice — an antisemitic libel to cover up the worst crime in history — and thereby a cruel and mocking rebuke to Holocaust survivors and their legacy.”

The language echoes a separate law already advanced by a Conservative member of parliament, Kevin Waugh of Saskatchewan. He called the decision a “win for everybody.”

Canada joins a number of European nations, including Germany, that have criminalized Holocaust denial.

An anti-Semitic campaigner who once compared Auschwitz to a ‘theme park’ is back behind bars for mocking the Jewish faith in an Oliver Twist song.
Alison Chabloz, 58, changed the lyrics ‘you’ve got to pick a pocket or two,’ to ‘you’ve got to shift a shekel or two’ in a video posted online on April, 18, 2020.
Chabloz denied the lyrics mocked Jewish people, and in particular the anti-Semitic activist Ambrosine Chetrit, claiming the song was written from the perspective of the English Defence League founder Tommy Robinson.

Adrian Davies, defending, said: ‘The defendant has in effect been rendered unemployable by her past history.
'She has not been able to find reasonably paid work since then.’
He said there was no evidence that the song was made in reference to Ms Chetrit.
‘The complainant was quite unaware of the song until someone called Enoch in Israel, who spends his time monitoring online for anti-Semitism, told her...’

Jailing Chabloz for 22 weeks District Judge Nina Tempia told her: ‘I do not accept your explanation to your words, you’ve got to pick a pocket or two, were for Tommy Robinson.
‘I do find that the offence is aggravated by hostility to a religious or group and I have to take into account your previous convictions for like offence and the fact that you were subject to a suspended sentence at the time this offence was committed.
‘My view is that you spent time making the words offensive.’
Mr Davies said Chabloz intends to appeal her sentence and asked Judge Tempia for bail but it was refused.
She said: ‘I have made my decision. It is so serious that only an immediate custodial sentence is warranted.
Chabloz was jailed for 18 weeks last April, later increased to 32 week, for saying on US podcasts Realist Radio and the Graham Hart Show that Hitler wanted the Jews out of Europe for behaving ‘in a certain fashion as we’re seeing again today’.
She also called the Holocaust an ‘eternal cash cow’ and compared it to a theme park while asserting that the gas chambers were not ‘homicidal,’ but used ‘to save lives from typhus epidemics’.
Chabloz also linked to the latter podcast on her account on Gab, a social media platform popular with extremists.
She was convicted of three charges for posting offensive songs about the Holocaust and handed a suspended jail sentence in May 2018.
In the songs, the music teacher who refers to herself a ‘historical revisionist’, sings: ‘Did the Holocaust ever happen? ‘Was it just a bunch of lies? Seems that some intend to pull the wool over our eyes.’
She said Auschwitz is ‘a theme park just for fools’ and ‘the gassing zone, a proven hoax, indoctrination rules.’
The holocaust denier had appealed against those convictions but a judge upheld them at Southwark Crown Court in February 2019.
She has since breached her suspended sentence by ranting anti-Semitic comments as she telephoned in twice as a guest to anti-Semitic far-right podcasts, Realist Report and The Graham Hart Show.
The musician claimed in the podcasts that Jewish parents are ‘indoctrinating their children that their grandparents were gassed because they were Jews’, turning the children into ‘psychopathic maniacs’, the court heard.
She also claimed the Auschwitz gas chambers were fake, and that Jews ‘were promoting homosexuality, promiscuity, the same things they are promoting today.’
Chabloz, from St John’s Wood, denied but was convicted of sending an offensive message by public communication.

New 'Official' Changes in the Auschwitz Story

By Mark Weber

Since the end of World War II, authoritative claims about the character and scope of killings at the Auschwitz concentration camp have changed drastically. One particularly striking change concerns the various "official" estimates of the number of victims -- a number that since 1945 has been steadily declining.

Today, more than half a century after the end of the war, the process of "establishment" revisionism still continues. It finds recent expression in a lengthy article, "The Number of Auschwitz Victims," published in the May 2002 issue of the scholarly German journal Osteuropa, issued by the prestigious Society for Eastern European Studies. The article is written by Fritjof Meyer, a respected foreign policy analyst, author of several books, and managing editor of Germany's foremost weekly news magazine Der Spiegel. / 1

Drastic Reductions

The Auschwitz camp complex, located in what is now south-central Poland, was set up by German authorities in 1940. Large numbers of Jews were deported there between 1942 and mid-1944. The main camp, or Stammlager, was known as Auschwitz I. Birkenau, or Auschwitz II, is regarded as the main extermination center.

At the postwar International Military Tribunal at Nuremberg (1945-1946), the victorious Allied powers charged that the Germans exterminated four million people at Auschwitz. This figure, which was given in a report produced by a Soviet government commission, was uncritically accepted for many years, and often appeared in major American newspapers and magazines. / 2

Other figures, both higher and lower, were sometimes also claimed during the decades after the end of World War II. / 3

One of the most widely read books on the German wartime camp system is a detailed study written shortly after the end of the war by former Buchenwald inmate Eugen Kogon. This much-praised work, published in the United States under the title The Theory and Practice of Hell, reports that at Auschwitz alone there were "at least 3,500,000 victims, probably 4,500,000." / 4

The 1955 French documentary film "Night and Fog," which is still widely shown in France, and has been seen by many in the United States, claims that nine million people lost their lives in Auschwitz. / 5

In his Osteuropa article, Meyer writes that Gerald Reitlinger, a prominent Jewish specialist of this subject, estimated in his 1953 book The Final Solution, that a total of one million people perished in Auschwitz, of whom as many as 750,000 were murdered by gas. / 6

Until 1989, notes Meyer, it was forbidden in eastern Europe to dispute the official finding that four million were killed at Auschwitz. At the Auschwitz State Museum, staff members who expressed doubts about this figure were threatened with disciplinary measures. In 1989 Israeli Holocaust historian Yehuda Bauer said that it is time to finally acknowledge that the familiar four million figure is a deliberate myth. /7 In July 1990 the Auschwitz State Museum, a Polish government agency, along with Israel's Yad Vashem Holocaust Center, announced that altogether perhaps one million people (both Jews and non-Jews) died at Auschwitz. / 8

Franciszek Piper, director of the Auschwitz State Museum, in an essay published in a semi-official 1994 American anthology, put the number of Auschwitz victims at 1.1 million. / 9 More or less consistent with that, prominent American newspapers in recent months have been telling readers that "more than a million" Jews lost their lives at Auschwitz. / 10

In a book published in 1994, the French anti-revisionist writer Jean-Claude Pressac estimated 631,000 to 711,000 deaths at Auschwitz, of which 470,000 to 550,000 were from gassing. / 11

In his recent Osteuropa article, Fritjof Meyer presents a further revision downwards. He writes: "These considerations are the basis for the conclusion here that in Auschwitz half a million people were murdered, about 356,000 of them with gas." Similarly, Meyer ends his article by concluding that 510,000 lost their lives in Auschwitz, of whom 356,000 "probably" were killed by gas.

The Höss 'Confessions'

For decades key evidence cited for mass killings at Auschwitz has been the postwar testimony of Rudolf Höss, who was commandant of the camp from May 1940 until December 1943, and again between May and July 1944. Since the end of the war, his statements of March and April 1946, and his testimony in April 1946 as a witness at the main Nuremberg trial, have been widely cited in numerous history books, newspapers, and magazine articles. / 12 In those statements, and in that testimony, he declared that three million died at Auschwitz, of whom two and a half million were killed "there by gassing and burning." / 13

In a detailed 1985 essay, Prof. Robert Faurisson established that the Höss "confession" is a false document that was extracted under torture. / 14 Fritjof Meyer, echoing arguments and points made 17 years earlier by Faurisson, writes that Höss' "confession" was wrung out of him after "three days of sleep deprivation, torture, beatings after every answer, being held naked, and forcibly intoxicated," and, finally, with the use of a whip.

Martin Broszat's Deceit

In his Osteuropa article, Meyer refers to the deceit of Martin Broszat, one of Germany's most prominent postwar historians. From 1972 until his death in 1989 Broszat was deputy director, and then director of Germany's semi-official Institute for Contemporary History in Munich. "The unreliability of Höss' million-large figures," writes Meyer, "is so serious that Martin Broszat simply left out some of them in the publication of the Höss papers that he edited."

Specifically, Meyer notes, Broszat deleted from Höss' "memoir" statements about millions of non-existent Jews who were scheduled for extermination, including "about four million Jews from Romania," as well as "an estimated two and a half million Jews from Bulgaria." In fact, Meyer writes, in 1940 there were only about 342,000 Jews in Romania altogether, and the total number of Jews in Bulgaria, according to more or less reliable estimates, was between 48,000 and some 63,000. Höss had exaggerated the actual number of Jews in Romania by more than ten times, and in Bulgaria by about 50 times.

So far, anyway, no public outcry has arisen against Dr. Broszat, who consciously falsified an important historical document, or against the prestigious scholarly institute he directed. Similarly, no one has yet apologized for this deception -- or even demanded that an apology be made.

Downplaying the Birkenau 'Kremas'

For decades it has been authoritatively claimed that mass killings of Jews were carried out at Auschwitz -- above all, by poison gas in semi-underground cellars adjacent to the Birkenau crematory structures (Kremas). This has been the view, for example, of Robert Jan van Pelt, a Jewish scholar who is regarded as an authority on Auschwitz and who was a key witness against British historian David Irving in the headline-making Irving-Lipstadt trial of January-March 2000. In his testimony in the trial, van Pelt referred to Krema II at Birkenau as "the most lethal building of Auschwitz," the place where "more people lost their lives than any other place on this planet. Five hundred thousand people were killed." / 15

In his Osteuropa article, Meyer discounts the importance of these "lethal buildings." In a significant revision of the familiar Auschwitz story, he shifts the focus of gassings from Birkenau Kremas II and III to two "farm houses" or "bunkers," which were also known as the "white house and the "red house." Meyer writes: "The actual genocide that was carried out probably took place mostly in the two reconstructed farm houses outside of the camp; the foundations of the first, the 'White House' or 'Bunker I,' were recently discovered."

Meyer unhelpfully does not explain what he means here by "probably" and "mostly."

Unsystematic Mass Killings?

Meyer also calls into question another important aspect of the familiar extermination story. According to the "standard" story, in the summer of 1941 or, at the latest, in the summer of 1942, Hitler ordered the systematic extermination of all the Jews of Europe under German control. In keeping with that, SS chief Heinrich Himmler supposedly ordered Commandant Höss to carry out systematic killings of Jews at Auschwitz, which was to serve as a central killing center. Only employable Jews who could be "worked to death" were to be temporarily spared.

This story is not accurate, Meyer suggests. Several months after the end of the war in Europe, he relates, former SS officer Hans Aumeier testified that in November 1942 Höss received an order from Himmler to gas all weak, sick or otherwise unemployable Jewish prisoners as a measure to prevent further spread of disease in the camp. / 16 Aumeier's testimony, which Meyer accepts as valid, suggests that Jews were killed at Auschwitz not as part of an comprehensive extermination program systematically to kill all European Jews, but rather as an exceptional measure to curb the horrific epidemics that were ravaging the Auschwitz I and Birkenau camps. / 17

A Dubious Document

Meyer also takes a skeptical look at a document that has been cited for years as a key piece of evidence for mass killings at Auschwitz: a June 28, 1943, letter from SS officer Karl Bischoff, head of the Auschwitz camp central construction department, to the WVHA center in Berlin. In this letter, Bischoff reports that all the crematory ovens in the Auschwitz main camp and in Birkenau could process as many as 4,756 corpses every 24 hours. This document is cited, for example, in the semi-official book, Nazi Mass Murder, in a section headed "the Perfected Gas Chambers at Birkenau." / 18

But as long ago as 1989, the French anti-revisionist researcher Jean-Claude Pressac expressed doubt about the figures given in this document. In a detailed book published that year, he expressed the view that the true cremation figures may perhaps have been one-half or one-third of those given in the Bischoff letter. / 19 Noting that some years ago Pressac had characterized this document as "an internal propaganda lie" of the SS, and that even van Pelt has cut in half the figures in the Bischoff letter, Meyer writes of the "entirely permissible doubts about the authenticity of the document."

Meyer also discounts the familiar image of "factory like" crematories at Birkenau, operating day and night and continually belching smoke. He points out that these crematories operated only fitfully, and often broke down. He cites, for example, Birkenau's crematory facility (Krema) II, which went into operation on March 22, 1943. Cracks in the chimney were already visible on April 3, and by mid-May the crematory was no longer operational. Because Birkenau's crematories could not possibly have "processed" as many corpses as has been claimed, Meyer concludes that between December 1942 and March 1943 tens of thousands of corpses were cremated there in the open air.

Meyer does not consider an obvious problem inherent in this claim: If Birkenau had really been a center for a well-planned, systematic extermination of hundreds of thousands of Jews, why did the authorities in charge fail to arrange for the construction of adequate crematory facilities to process the anticipated numbers of victims? To put it another way, cremation of tens of thousands of corpses in makeshift open-air pyres cannot be reconciled with Birkenau's supposed role as a center where, on the basis of orders from the highest level, a program of systematic extermination was carried out.

It is largely on the basis of his understanding of cremation capacity in the camp, and his estimate that a total of perhaps 433,000 corpses were cremated at Auschwitz (including Birkenau), that Meyer concludes that some 500,000 people perished there.

Conclusion

Compared to the recently "authoritative" figure of approximately one million Auschwitz deaths, Meyer has reduced the number of Jewish victims there by at least 450,000. If he were held to the legal standards that are routinely applied to revisionist skeptics, he would be prosecuted for violating Germany's law against "relativizing" or "denying" Jewish deaths.

Meyer seems vaguely aware of this. In an apparent effort to provide a "politically correct" justification for his "denial" and "relativizing," he pompously writes: "Accordingly, the dimension of the breach of civilization becomes conceivable and, for the first time, is a convincing portent for those born afterwards This result does not 'relativize' the barbarism, but rather verifies it -- and serves as a severe warning against a new shattering of civilization."

Meyer's article is subtitled "New Revelations through new archival findings." In fact, Fritjof Meyer and Osteuropa journal affirm the decades-old skepticism of the "deniers," embracing even some of the same "physical" or "forensic" arguments presented for years by revisionists such as Robert Faurisson. / 20 Meyer unintentionally affirms that the skeptics were right to reject the "official" story, which -- as his article shows -- is still changing.

Himmler's Order to Stop the Gassing of the Jews

As is well known, no order or any other kind of directive from Hitler or Himmler exists that call for the extermination or gassing of the Jews. On the other hand, Allied propaganda alleges that there was an order from Himmler to stop the gassings.[1] If such an order indeed existed, it would provide strong evidence that gassings actually took place. The allegation in question is based upon an affidavit signed by SS Standartenführer Kurt Becher before the Nuremberg International Military Tribunal, where we read:[2]
"Between the middle of September and October 1944 I caused the Reichsführer SS Himmler to issue the following order, which I received in two originals, one each for SS Generals Kaltenbrunner and Pohl, and a carbon copy for myself:
'Effective immediately I forbid any liquidation of Jews and order that, on the contrary, hospital care should be given to weak and sick persons. I hold you (and here Kaltenbrunner and Pohl were meant) personally responsible even if this order should not be strictly adhered to by lower echelons.'
I personally took Pohl's copy to him at his office in Berlin and left the copy for Kaltenbrunner at his office in Berlin."
No such order was ever found, and no one could prove that it had existed. This caused Raul Hilberg to write:
"In November 1944, Himmler decided that for practical purposes the Jewish question had been solved. On the twenty-fifth of that month he ordered the dismantling of the killing installations."[3]
In a footnote, he gives as his source:
"Affidavit by Kurt Becher on March 8, 1946, PS-3762."
However, this affidavit says nothing of the sort.[4] Other Holocaust writers have since copied Hilberg, using his book as their source. A demonstrative example may be found in the work of Berenbaum and Gutman. There we read once again about Himmler’s alleged order of November 25 for the “demolition of the Auschwitz gas chambers and crematoria.” In the respective note, we read:[5]
"According to the testimony of the leader of the Hungarian Zionists, Reszo Kastner, a copy of an order to demolish the gas chambers and crematoria, shown to him by Himmler’s associate Kurt Becher, bore the date November 25, 1944."
This date is also found in the notes of an anonymous author, a prisoner and alleged member of the Sonderkommando, who wrote that the demolition of Crematorium II had begun on November 25.
For me as an officer, it makes a very remarkable impression that the dreaded SS Colonel Kurt Becher goes around showing Jewish leaders a top-secret Himmler order. The order was so secret that it had only been issued in three copies, and had not been kept or registered anywhere because of its explosive contents – but Jewish confidants were allowed to read it!
Back in 1972, I met an elderly German former cavalry officer married to one of the most-famous dressage riders.
Over the years, I met this gentleman named Kurt Becher on several occasions during equestrian events in Germany. But it was only very late, probably in 1993, that I realized that he was the SS Colonel known from the war.
I therefore requested a meeting with him in Bremen on 26 October 1994, where he received me, and – obviously amused by my interest – told me in detail about himself as an officer in the Waffen-SS, serving in the 8th Mounted SS Division Florian Greyer during the war.
In the summer or fall of 1944, Becher was in Hungary, in part to purchase horses for his own division but also for the German Army. In the process, he came into contact with leading Hungarian Jews, including Mr. Kastner. Becher succeeded in getting Himmler to allow about 1,000 of the richest Budapest Jews, including the arms industry magnate Weiss, who later lived in New York, to leave for enemy territory via Bergen-Belsen in the fall of 1944. This was also the time of the infamous negotiations between Kastner and Becher to allow another 100,000 Budapest Jews to travel to Palestine in exchange for 10,000 U.S. trucks.
During these talks, the leading Jews expressed their concern about what would happen to their fellow believers if the front approached the German concentration camps, from Auschwitz in the east to Natzweiler in the west. Surely, the guards would not then begin to execute the Jews? Remarkably, then, they harbored no great uneasiness about what might happen to the Jews in the camps before the battle fronts reached these places.
Becher reassured the Hungarian Jews by saying that he would meet Himmler shortly and raise their concerns. Becher met Himmler at the turn of September to October, probably on September 25, hence the recurring date of the 25th. Himmler immediately wrote an order that,
"On the advance of enemy troops to the concentration camps, they should be surrendered without a fight. Necessary measures should be taken so that this could be done in an orderly manner, and without losses to the inmates."
When I asked Kurt Becher how it happened that his affidavit in Nuremberg says something so entirely different, he only said ambiguously that I did not know the conditions in Nuremberg at that time.[6]
Kurt Becher later made a great fortune doing business with the State of Israel.
Our conversations were unfortunately cut short by his death in August 1995, which prevented me from obtaining some more desirable clarifications.
Anyone who would have heard Becher’s hearty laugh in response to my question regarding the alleged 25 November 1944 order to destroy the gas chambers at Auschwitz would clearly recognize that this statement is attributable to the usual falsifiers of history.
The order which Kurt Becher actually received from Himmler was, according to Becher, written out in three copies: one for the head of Germany's Department of Homeland Security (Reichssicherheitshauptamt), Ernst Kaltenbrunner, one for the chief of the SS Economic and Administrative Main Office (Wirtschaftsverwaltungshauptamt), SS-General Oswald Pohl, who was in charge of all concentration camps; and the third copy Kurt Becher kept, but he never produced it. Becher personally delivered the order to the two persons mentioned.
It is easy to explain why the order was only written out in three copies, and kept secret in such a way that it was personally handed over by a colonel: What Himmler printed here was an unequivocal admission that the war was lost, and that the enemy would advance into the interior of Germany. Hence, it clearly was a defeatist document, for which the author could expect the death penalty if it fell into the wrong hands. That such a qualified secret paper should have been shown to a person associated with a hostile power, such as Kastner, seems so preposterous that this assumption is more in line with oriental than European thinking.
Since Kurt Becher was amused by our conversation, and made such a sincere impression, I finally asked him:
“What then is the truth about the gassing of the European Jews, and what do you know about it? After all, you spent much time together with the best-informed and leading Hungarian Jews."
To this, Becher replied:
"I heard about these things for the first time when I was brought to Nuremberg as a prisoner. What the truth really is, I don't know, but the allegations are in any case enormously exaggerated, as we all know."
So, Kurt Becher received an order at the turn of September to October 1944 to hand over peacefully any concentration camp approached by enemy forces in order to spare human lives. And from this, the Nuremberg falsifiers of history cooked up a claim that Himmler supposedly issued an order to Kurt Becher on 25 November 1944 to put a stop to homicidal gassings, and to destroy the gas chambers and crematoria at Auschwitz.

Scotland Extradites Holocaust Denier To Face Charges In France

A French Holocaust denier arrested in Scotland was handed over to France on Friday after losing his extradition battle, a source close to the case told AFP.
Vincent Reynouard was arrested in November 2022 in Scotland, where he had been living in a fishing village under a false identity.
The 54-year-old private tutor was wanted by authorities in France, where he had been convicted in absentia for offences related to holocaust denial. A French warrant for his arrest cited videos posted to the internet in which he denied Nazi crimes.
Ruling on his extradition at Edinburgh Sheriff Court, Judge Christopher Dickson characterised Reynouard's statements in the videos as "beyond the pale of what is tolerable in our society".

Reynouard was presented to an investigating magistrate in Paris, who charged him with denial of war crimes, denial of crimes against humanity and incitement to hatred.
He was then placed under judicial supervision, according to the source, since the penalties for those offences do not include detention.
Although British law does not criminalise Holocaust denial, the judge ruled that the charges against Reynouard -- namely "public trivialisation of a war crime" and "public challenge to the existence of crimes against humanity" -- amounted to a breach of the Communications Act.

"In such circumstances I order the respondent to be extradited to France," he wrote in his ruling.
Holocaust denial has been a criminal offence in France since 1990, and Reynouard has been convicted on numerous occasions.

In 2001, he was suspended as a school maths teacher for printing and distributing Holocaust-denying pamphlets and setting homework involving counting concentration camp victims.
In 2007, while working as a chemical engineer, Reynouard was sentenced to one year in prison and fined 10,000 euros for Holocaust denial after writing a pamphlet claiming the death of six million Jews during World War II was "impossible".

He was handed a four-month prison sentence in France in November 2020 and a further six-month term in January 2021 for a series of anti-Semitic posts on social media.
In August 2020, a memorial in the village of Oradour-sur-Glane, whose residents were massacred by the Nazis, was defaced with slogans including the phrase "Reynouard is right".
He had questioned the massacre there in several videos posted online.
