The Department of Energy won’t say whether it plans to fire Biden administration official Sam Brinton, who was charged with felony theft last month after he allegedly stole a woman’s roller bag from the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
“Sam Brinton is on leave from DOE, and Dr. Kim Petry is performing the duties of Deputy Assistant Secretary of Spent Fuel and Waste Disposition,” the department told The Federalist in a statement on Tuesday.

DOE’s statement confirms what an auto-response from Brinton’s federal email address, as reported by Alpha News, previously suggested.
According to a criminal complaint reviewed by Alpha News, Brinton snatched the navy blue roller bag and its contents, worth $2,325, from the Minnesota airport baggage claim on Sept. 16 on a trip from Washington, D.C. After reviewing airport records confirming the bag’s arrival and surveillance footage of the incident, law enforcement determined that Brinton deliberately hid the woman’s luggage tag identifying the bag as hers in his own handbag.
The complaint notes that Brinton, who did not check a bag of his own and did not have a valid reason to be in the baggage claim in the first place, “then left the area at a quick pace.”
When police confronted Brinton about the bag nearly a month later, the federal official denied taking “anything that did not belong” to him. After further questioning, Brinton claimed he took the bag because his clothes were inside.

“If I had taken the wrong bag, I am happy to return it, but I don’t have any clothes for another individual. That was my clothes when I opened the bag,” Brinton told law enforcement.
Two hours after his initial call with police, Brinton admitted he was not “completely honest” and claimed he mistakenly grabbed the bag due to exhaustion. Brinton claimed that once he realized it wasn’t his bag, he “got nervous” and abandoned the woman’s clothes in the room but took the luggage back to Washington, D.C.
Police say no clothing was left behind and that requests for Brinton to turn in the bag were still unfulfilled on Oct. 27. That was weeks after Brinton was spotted in the Dulles International Airport using the luggage on a trip from Europe.
Brinton is scheduled to appear in court in Minnesota on Dec. 19.

Self-proclaimed fetishist Brinton first made headlines in June after announcing that he joined the Biden administration as the deputy assistant secretary for spent fuel and waste disposition in the Department of Energy’s Office of Nuclear Energy.
In the accompanying picture posted to Twitter, Brinton — celebrated as “the first gender fluid person in federal government leadership” — posed in a women’s red jumpsuit adorned with a necklace and heels decorated with the stars and stripes.

Under Brinton’s list of career accomplishments, the Office of Nuclear Energy lists his history of LGBT activism including becoming a “well-known advocate for LGBTQ youth” and helping “secure protections against the dangerous and discredited practice of conversion therapy in more than half of the country.”
“They identify as gender-fluid and use the pronouns they, them, and theirs,” Brinton’s bio states.

"They're like, ‘How does this butt-plug work? How do we do – like, how does this work?’ That's a really cool part of my job,” he says.

Project Veritas released disturbing undercover video Wednesday of a high-ranking official at a Chicago private school bragging about teaching students about “queer sex” using items like “butt-plugs” and “dildos.”

Joseph Bruno, the Dean of Students at Francis W. Parker School, explained to an undercover PV journalist that an LGBTQ+ advocacy center brought in the items to distribute to the children for Pride Week.

“So, I’ve been the Dean for four years. During Pride — we do a Pride Week every year — I had our LGBTQ+ Health Center come in [to the classroom]. They were passing around butt-plugs and dildos to my students — talking about queer sex, using lube versus using spit,” Bruno said.

“They’re just, like, passing around dildos and butt-plugs. The kids are just playing with ‘em, looking at ‘em…They’re like, ‘How does this butt-plug work? How do we do – like, how does this work?’ That’s a really cool part of my job.”

Bruno boasted about holding a drag queen event at the school.

“We had a Drag Queen come in — pass out cookies and brownies and do photos,” he said.

The Francis W. Parker School reportedly deleted their Twitter account shortly after Project Veritas broke the story.

Not only is there already massive pushback against schools implementing “woke” LGBTQ+ curriculum, but there’s also a growing movement against the “groomers” who are trying to force this highly sexualized material on children.

Biden's Kinky They/Them Nuke Official Charged With Another Airport Luggage Theft

A new felony arrest warrant has just been issued for Sam Brinton, the senior Department of Energy official who just weeks ago confessed to stealing luggage at the Minneapolis airport on Sept 16.
Now, the ostentatiously "non-binary" deputy assistant secretary for spent fuel and waste disposition stands accused of perpetrating the same crime at the Las Vegas airport, according to KLAS. The date of the alleged Vegas theft has not yet been publicized.
Brinton's January 2022 appointment to a sensitive nuclear post was hailed as a shining example of the Biden administration's "inclusivity," with Brinton claiming the crown tiara as the barrier-breaking first openly "gender fluid" person to have a federal leadership role.
Brinton's no gender studies grad -- he has dual masters degrees in nuclear science and engineering from MIT. His appointment raised eyebrows, however -- and not only because of his fabulous cross-dressing, which includes wearing stiletto heels to work.

The more people scrolled through Brinton's public social media posts, the stranger things got. Most strikingly, it turns out that the senior U.S. official overseeing nuclear waste -- which in the wrong hands, is suitable for creating a dirty bomb and maybe something worse -- is a vocal aficionado of "puppy play"...

...to the extent this fellow granted the DoE's equivalent of a Top Secret clearance -- in a position deemed Critical-Sensitive (CS)/High Risk -- is considered an expert of sorts on puppy play, having participated in a presentation at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.

We'd like to emphasize that this information doesn't come from prying into his personal life, but rather him thrusting his personal life into public view.
Thirty-five-year-old Brinton's senior role puts him above the ordinary "GS" level and among the esteemed ranks of the Senior Executive Service (SES), where his $178,063 salary should be more than ample to fund the luggage purchases of his dreams.
But here we are, with him charged as a serial luggage thief...which may prove to be a kink of a different flavor.

Which takes us back to his initial thievery. A few weeks after the Minneapolis incident, when police asked Brinton if he'd taken a bag that wasn't his, he at first said "not that I know of." Some time later that day, Brinton contacted the same officer and admitted taking the bag, but blamed tiredness and portrayed it as an accident.
Spinning apparent lie after lie, Brinton said he panicked when he opened the bag and realized it wasn't his, and left the clothing behind in the hotel room. Asked why he took the luggage with him and ditched the woman's clothes, police say Brinton claimed he didn't want to leave the bag because it was "weirder" to leave the bag than the clothes.
Perhaps the honest answer is that the woman's clothes weren't his size.
His claim about mistakenly taking the luggage crumbled when police determined that Brinton wasn't even traveling with a checked bag, but nonetheless proceeded to the baggage carousel and scooped up a suitcase belonged to a woman traveling from New Orleans with her son. Security footage reportedly shows Brinton removed the owner's name tag before strutting off ahead of a speaking engagement with LGBTQ engineering students.
A few weeks later, Brinton jetted off to Europe with the stolen 26-inch, navy blue, hard-sided Vera Bradley roller bag, valued at $295.
When the Minneapolis airport police called, Brinton may have looked something like this
In Las Vegas, he's charged with grand larceny of property valued between $1,200 and $5,000. In Minnesota, he faces a penalty of up to five years in jail, a $10,000 fine or both.
Brinton was already on a temporary leave of absence over the Minneapolis incident. Last week, the White House refused to say if Brinton is still receiving his salary.

The Department of Energy is refusing to fire the nonbinary official Sam Brinton despite them being accused of a second airport luggage theft.
Brinton, who was appointed in June, is now accused of stealing suitcases from airports in Minneapolis and Las Vegas.
They are due in court in Minnesota on the first charges, relating to an incident in September when they were on their way to a conference.
On Thursday night, it emerged that a second warrant for their arrest had been filed, this time in Las Vegas, over a separate alleged theft.

There are growing calls among Republicans for Brinton - who enjoys some level of nuclear clearance through their role - to be fired.
'If these latest allegations are true, Sam Brinton’s misconduct and severe lack of judgment are worse than we thought — signaling a pattern of criminal behavior that is disqualifying to represent the Department of Energy and influence policy.
'Brinton must be terminated immediately,' Rep. Andrew Clyde told DailyMail.com on Friday.
Congressman Troy Nehls also demanded Brinton's firing or resignation this morning, saying they should be 'fired immediately' and have their clearance revoked.
But The Department of Energy has so far only placed Brinton on leave.
In a statement to DailyMail.com on Friday, after the arrest warrant was filed in Las Vegas, a spokesman said: 'The Department of Energy takes criminal charges against DOE employees and clearance holders very seriously.

'The Department is limited by law on what it can disclose on personnel matters, such as an employee’s clearance status.
'Generally, as the Department has previously stated, if a DOE clearance holder is charged with a crime, the case would be immediately considered by DOE personnel security officials, and depending on the circumstances, that review could result in suspension or revocation of the clearance.'
The White House has repeatedly refused to comment on the scandal, claiming it is a non-political issue.
The Department of Energy has also tried to distance Biden from the issue.

Brinton was appointed in June with much fanfare.
Their profile remains on The Department of Energy's website.
'Sam is also a well-known advocate for LGBTQ youth and helped to secure protections against the dangerous and discredited practice of conversion therapy in more than half of the country.
'They identify as gender-fluid and use the pronouns they, them, and theirs,' their bio reads.
On top of working in the Dept. of Energy, they also hold seminars and conferences including a recent event on spanking.
Brinton lives in Washington DC with their husband.
The criminal complaint from the first incident describes how Brinton traveled from Washington DC to Minneapolis without a checked bag, but then retrieved one from the luggage carousel once they'd landed in Minnesota.
Surveillance footage from the airport - which is yet to be released - is said to show them removing the luggage tug from the bag and placing it in their handbag.
When cops called them the first time, they played dumb. Then, they phoned the authorities themselves and admitted to taking the bag but insisted it was a mistake, and that they were simply tired.

JayCee Cooper, a transgender athlete, won a discrimination case against USA Powerlifting this week after the federation banned her from competing in female events.
With Cooper's victory comes a mandate the federation "cease and desist from all unfair discriminatory practices" because of sexual orientation and gender identity.
The organization must revise its policy related to those issues within two weeks, meaning trans athletes will be able to compete in the women's category after previously being banned.

Cooper filed a complaint in 2019 with the Minnesota Department of Human Rights, alleging the organization violated the state's Human Rights Act by banning her and other trans athletes from competing in female competitions.
She then filed a lawsuit against USA Powerlifitng in state court in 2021.
"I was fed up with the way that I was being treated; I was fed up with the way that my community was being treated, and enough was enough," Cooper told KARE-TV.
"I feel mostly relief. I think we needed a win here, and it feels good to get that."

"The harm is in making a person pretend to be something different, the implicit message being that who they are is less than," the ruling said. "That is the very essence of separation and segregation, and it is what the MHRA prohibits."

FEDERAL COURT REJECTS CHALLENGE FROM FEMALE ATHLETES TO CONNECTICUT TRANSGENDER SPORTS POLICY
"Our position has been aimed at balancing the needs of cis- and transgender women whose capacities differ significantly in purely strength sports," USA Powerlifting President Larry Maile said in a statement.
However, the court cited "increased risk of depression and suicide, lack of access to coaching and practice facilities, or other performance suppression common to transgender persons," as competitive disadvantages for transgender competitors.

Former senior Department of Energy official Sam Brinton, who self-identifies as “openly genderfluid,” was caught on camera stealing luggage last year and has now been ordered to pay $3,670 in restitution to the victim.
Brinton was spared jail time after pleading no contest Wednesday to the theft.
Instead a 180-day suspended sentence was delivered for Brinton’s walking away with a woman’s suitcase from Las Vegas‘ Harry Reid International Airport in July 2022, according to court records obtained by Fox 5.
The MIT grad was fired soon after the incident was made public.

As part of the plea deal, Brinton was also charged with a misdemeanor instead of a felony.
The 35-year-old was originally seen on surveillance footage wearing a white T-shirt with a large rainbow-colored atomic nuclear symbol design. Brinton was also caught wearing the same in an Instagram photo posted later that day, as Breitbart News reported.
The sentencing occurred in Las Vegas, Nevada.

In addition to the sentence Brinton, who had been responsible for nuclear fuel and radioactive waste, was instructed by a judge to avoid engaging in any further criminal activity, as per the court documents in Las Vegas.
Prior to his appointment with the Biden administration, Brinton openly opposed LGBT conversion therapy, describing it as “pretty much mental torture.”
