MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Four people, including one juvenile, were taken to the hospital after being shot in a house overnight.

According to Memphis Police, a little before 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a shooting in the 2100 block of Labelle Avenue, just south of the Bethel Grove neighborhood.

Once on the scene, officers found four victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

Two of the victims were taken to Regional One in critical condition, one was taken to Methodist University in non-critical condition. One juvenile was taken to Le Bonheur in non-critical condition.

WREG spoke with one of the victim’s mothers, who told us her 16-year-old grandson, her son and two nephews were shot inside the home.

“My 16-year-old grandson was in the bedroom sleep and he got shot,” the victim’s mother said.

She says she has no idea why anyone would want to harm her family members and that she hopes someone will come forward to give them answers.

“For a change lord in the name of Jesus. That’s all I’m [axing] asking for is a change in the name of Jesus,” she said.

Numerous bullet holes cover the front of the home and neighbors say the gunshots lasted for more than 30 seconds.
