Man shot twice during argument in Short North; suspect in custody​


Officers arrested 22-year-old Jealon Brown in connection to the shooting. He is charged with felonious assault.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A 36-year-old man was shot twice during an argument with another man in the Short North Arts District early Monday morning, police said.

Officers with the Columbus Division of Police were called to a parking lot in the 1100 block of North High Street around 2:10 a.m.

Police say the 36-year-old was shot twice in the upper chest. He was taken to Grant Medical Center for treatment and is expected to be okay.

Police say the shooting happened as a result of an argument between two parties. There were multiple shell casings in the parking lot next to Stonewall Columbus.

North High Street between East 4th and East 5th avenues are back open following the shooting.
