Baton Rouge police need your help to find a man who is wanted on a murder charge.

20-year-old Marcus Gillard is wanted in connection with the murder of Troy Douglas, which happened on New Year's Eve on North Donmoor in Mall City.

Police believe Gillard and another person fired the deadly shots at Douglas after an argument over fireworks.

Police say Gillard was also hit by gunfire from that second gunman, who fled the scene.

Gillard is charged with second-degree murder.

If you can help police find him, call Crime Stoppers at 344-STOP.

A Baton Rouge man arrested Tuesday is accused of shooting at two men in a passing vehicle April 29 on Lobdell Boulevard, Baton Rouge Police said.
Marcus Gillard, 31, was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on one count each of attempted first-degree murder and illegal use of weapons.
Two victims told Baton Rouge Police a passenger in a green Nissan Altima shot at them while they were driving northbound.

They said the driver of the Altima began blowing the horn at them and passed their car as the passenger in the front seat brandished a handgun.

Then, the Altima turned around and continued to follow the victims’ car, driving alongside them while Gillard, the front-seat passenger, pointed the handgun out of the window and fired at them. Police said the car was struck multiple times.

The victims told police they knew Gillard, as he had been arrested previously for the slaying of one of their family members.
The arrest report was unclear as to that other killing.
Gillard had been arrested in 2016 on accessory after the fact to a second-degree murder in the 2015 shooting death of a 23-year-old man in his North 31st street home.

Court records show a 2008 case involving Gillard on a count of second-degree murder was put on hold.
