Aristotelis Marinas was walking along Philadelphia Pike near Naamans Road at about 6:45 p.m. Friday when a female acquaintance gave him a lift in her pickup truck, Delaware State Police said.

The two stopped at a nearby Wawa, and when the woman started to pump gas, Marinas got into the driver's seat, and a struggle ensued as Marinas tried to start the truck.

Marinas was able to start it, and he drove away, dragging the woman and ripping the gas pump's hose away; the woman was injured and needed medical attention.

A witness followed the truck, but lost sight of it near Darley Road.

Other witnesses saw Marinas drive through Ashbourne Hills and damage a tree and some landscaping. Chester, Pennsylvania police nabbed him after he collided with a building at West 4th and Tilghman streets.
