NYC man attacked in vicious gang assault
Wild video released by police shows part of a vicious gang assault of a 54-year-old man in The Bronx that left the victim with a stab wound to his chest.
The victim was attacked by four suspects as he stood outside of an apartment building near Townsend Avenue and East 172nd Street in Mount Eden at about 6 p.m. on Sept. 10, according to the NYPD.
The assailants are believed to be 18 to 20 years old. One of them stabbed the victim to the left side of his chest during the attack, police said.
Surveillance footage shows the victim then struggling with the stabber until the knife drops to the steps below.
The victim managed to retrieve the knife and the suspects fled on foot.
The suspects are believed to be 18 to 20 years old, as they fled the scene after the incident.DCPI
Police said the victim was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.
The assailants were still on the loose as of late Wednesday.
