HAMILTON, Ohio -- Police in Butler County are searching for an 11-year-old girl who went missing from her bus stop Wednesday morning, News 5's Courtis Fuller reported.
The family of Jessica Hicks said the girl has a mental disability -- that she can't make good decisions, Fuller reported.
"(Witnesses) said they had seen her at the bus stop get into a maroon-ish car," said Robbin Saylor, one of Hicks' relati
ves. "They said she got into the back seat with two Hispanic men."
Police said they're treating Hicks' disappearance as a
missing person case, and she's been entered into a national registry.
"I was actually wondering why they hadn't put out an Amber Alert," Saylor said.
But authorities said they couldn't -- Hicks got into the car willingly.
"This doesn't fall under the criteria of the Amber Alert," said Dave Crawford, of the Hamilton Police Department. "She didn't fall into any immediate danger."
