"VATICAN PROMOTING "NOMINAL" CHRISTIANS"
by Mr Anthony Fernandes

With an increasing number of Catholics turning out to
be "Nominal" Christians, ie Christians in "name only '
or " supposed to be Christians , but in reality are
not", or those with a poor Christian background or
knowledge of Christianity because of sectoral
allegiance to the Vatican, there is little hope of
Christian Unity , unless the Vatican is concerned
about its over 800 million Catholics drifting away
from Christianity.

Catholics, were today indulging in myths,
idol-wors
ip, rituals, and customs. Mixed or inter
community marriages, and residence in countries or
areas dominated by non-Christians attributed to the
Catholic turning away from Christianity. Lack of

know
ledge of the defienceies in Non-Christian faiths,
also contributed to the Catholic's indulgence in the

Non-Christian's beliefs, myths and customs !

The Catholic Church on the other hand it seems was
basking in glory at the expense of gullible, foolish
Catholics, overlooking their plight ,many of whom were
devoid of basic education, employment, culture, etc,
and suffered victimsation, exploitation, and
discrimination, for professing Christianity ? The
Catholic Church itself was exploiting , ignorant
masses of Catholics, in order to reap what it sowed.

To make matters worse an increasing flow of
non-Christian immigrants to the developed Western
countries, which seemed to have no control over the
influx, only added to the rot that had set
in , the
West realising a little too late it had got itself
into a trap, promoting Religious Extremism at the
expense of Christians foolishness. The Non-Christians
gain , became the Christian
s LOSS &#33
; The West semmed to
be no longer interested in the interests of its
people, but instead turned its attention to boosting
immigrants,u
naware of the growing fundamentalism and
Exttremism in Asia and Africa.

Christians in India continued to be discriminated for
professing Christianity, their institutions,
properties and houses robbed, their missionaries
attacked and killed, or imprisoned, and employment
benefits reserved for the lower strata of a sizeable
Indian society remained denied to those choosing to
profess Christianity. The Indian Government wished to
ban conversions to Christianity thereby denying
Religious freedom in India, while at the same time
sending scores of Hindu-Sikh immigrants to the West,
in a deliberate attempt to not only
LOOT the West but
also gain access to the West's military might. Both
Hindus and Sikhs are experts in FOOLING/DECIEVING
people. The Christian became subvient to the
non-Christian eve
n in the western co
untries where
important government offices were handed over to
non-Christians immigrants on a platter ,disgracefully
bypassing the local Christians. As a result , the
nNon-Christian began to look upon the westerner as a
Symbol of foolishmess and timidity".

The Christian turned into a Muzzled Ox who could not
even eat what he had ploughed-toungue-tied and
subvient. While in India the Christian clergy remained
confined to their schools, unable to explain the
aggression on their faith by Hindu extremists. The
Christian became dereft of human rights, while his
very his very existence was subject to
anti-Semitic laws, Racism, Fundamentalism , Extremism
and some foolish western leaders. A Jewish Hangover
began to dominate the Christian communit
y. The Jewish
community was the first Asian community to be deported
out of the West/Europe. The West failing to see it
that way, instead went on allowing he J*ws to pick on
the Chris
tian community setting-up a
dangerous trend,
for other Asian communities to follow suit.

With so much submissiveness, no one in the Christian
comminity understood what kind of religion the priests
were preaching or what kind
of religion the Christian
was supposed to follow. Nominal Christians remained
as much in the dark as the knowledgeable Christians.
While the Clergy preached, the Nominal Christian
yawned. There were too many of them in the Third
Millenium, The Church was caught napping, In its own
interests it failed to contain the boom in Nominal
Christians. The Church could not even Stand up on its
own legs, forget about standing-up to the growing tide
of Non-Christian Extremism. The Church failed in its
mission. It only succeeded in turning Priesthood into
a
profitable business. With so many Nominal Christians
around the third Millenium the Church had little to
look forward to. The third Millenium is a period for
some hard thinking for
Christians. Its never too late.
