It’s About Time! Texas Governor Deploys State Military To Border Via Executive Order

'President Biden refuses to do his job and enforce the immigration laws enacted by Congress,' Abbott declared

Republican Texas Governor Greg Abbott issued an Executive Order Thursday mobilizing the state’s National Guard and Department of Public Safety officers to deport illegal immigrants.

The decision comes days after Texas county leaders declared an “invasion” at the border and called on the governor to take action.

“Cartels have become emboldened by Biden’s open border policies,” Abbott wrote in a Twitter post announcing the order. “Texas is taking unprecedented action to STOP this criminal enterprise.”

The order thrashes the Biden administration’s handling of the border crisis, led by Kamala Harris, and allows state authorities to take apprehended illegals back to Mexican ports of entry.

“Securing the international border is the federal government’s responsibility, but President Biden has refused to enforce the immigration laws enacted by Congress,” the order states.

“The cartels refer to these open-border policies as la invitación (“the invitation”), reflecting the perception that President Biden welcomes immigrants to make the dangerous trek across our southern border,” it continues.

The governor’s order notes the 53 dead immigrants found in the back of an 18-wheeler near San Antonio last week as an example of the dangers illegals are subjected to.

Abbott also puts the Biden administration on notice over the “42 subjects on the terrorist watchlist” arrested coming across the border since January 2021, as well as the “unknown number” of terrorists that made it into Texas without being caught.

Continuing, the order says, “President Biden’s failure to protect our border has necessitated action by the State of Texas to ensure public safety and to defend against violations of its sovereignty and territorial integrity.”

The Executive Order cites the Biden administration’s attempts at terminating Title 42 border expulsions as an act that would result in as many as 18,000 immigrant apprehensions per day, according to the DHS.

Governor Abbott also tells the feds their open border policies are supporting drug cartels, writing, “Biden’s reckless refusal to secure the border will provide material support to the cartels, allow them to smuggle more dangerous people, drugs, and weapons into Texas, and embolden cartel gunmen to continue shooting at state and federal officials.”

Abbott’s order accuses Sleepy Joe of an impeachable offense by failing to protect the borders of states like Texas.

“President Biden’s failure to faithfully execute the immigration laws enacted by Congress confirms that he has abandoned the covenant, in Article IV, § 4 of the U.S. Constitution, that ‘[t]he United States . . . shall protect each [State in this Union] against Invasion,’ and thus has forced the State of Texas to build a border wall, deploy state military forces, and enter into agreements as described in Article I, § 10 of the U.S. Constitution to secure the State of Texas and repel the illegal immigration that funds the cartels.”

Concluding the order, the governor writes, “I, Greg Abbott, Governor of Texas, by virtue of the power and authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the State of Texas, do hereby authorize and empower the Texas National Guard and the Texas Department of Public Safety to respond to this illegal immigration by apprehending immigrants who cross the border between ports of entry or commit other violations of federal law, and to return those illegal immigrants to the border at a port of entry. This executive order shall remain in effect and in full force unless it is modified, amended, rescinded, or superseded by the governor.”

Democrats in Washington, D.C., are directly feeling the effects of open-border policies, thanks to Republicans like Texas Gov. Greg Abbott.
During an appearance on CBS’ “Face the Nation” on Sunday, Democrat Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser was asked about reports of homeless shelters in the city filling up with illegal immigrants.
Host Margaret Brennan cited a report from The Washington Post that the shelters were filling up with illegal immigrants that had been brought to the city by bus from Texas and Arizona.
“This is a very significant issue,” Bowser said. “We have for sure called on the federal government to work across state lines to prevent people from really being tricked into getting on buses.”

In April, Abbott began carrying out his pledge to send illegal immigrants coming into his state to Washington, CNN reported.
“By busing migrants to Washington, D.C., the Biden administration will be able to more immediately meet the needs of the people they are allowing to cross our border,” Abbott said in a statement at the time.
“Texas should not have to bear the burden of the Biden administration’s failure to secure our border.”
It is unclear why Bowser alleged the migrants were being “tricked,” into getting on the bus, as CNN reported the illegal immigrants got on the bus voluntarily. Venezuela migrant Juan Luis Rondon Martinez said the staff on the bus “treated us well.”
Abbott has sent additional buses of migrants to D.C. since then, Fox News reported Sunday. His reason for doing so continues to be logical.
Abbott and the rest of the Republican Party have been vehemently opposed to the Biden administration’s open-border policies, which have led to an invasion at the southern border. As such, why should they be the ones to deal with the effects?
Since Democratic elites in D.C. are the ones pushing open-border policies, it is only fair they feel the effects of their proposals. Nonetheless, Bowser continued to make excuses.
“We think they’re largely asylum seekers who are going to final destinations that are not Washington, D.C,” Bowser said.
“I worked with the White House to make sure that FEMA provided a grant to a local organization that is providing services to folks. I fear that they’re being tricked into nationwide bus trips when their final destinations are places all over the United States of America.”
In addition to her unsubstantiated allegations about migrants being “tricked” into boarding the busses, her response shows a refusal to accept responsibility for leftist policies.
If Bowser was honest with herself, she would admit the solution to this problem is to stop allowing illegal immigrants to invade the United States.
Instead, she simply called on the federal government to intervene and stop Abbott from busing the migrants to D.C. This would not fix the problem, but rather pawn it off on people who had nothing to do with creating it.
By sending migrants to the city full of politicians who champion open borders, Abbott has successfully exposed the hypocrisy of the Democratic elite.

D.C. Mayor Roasted as Hypocrite for Whining About Illegals Sent to Capital

Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser (D) is being roasted as a “Not-in-my-backyard” hypocrite after complaining about the wave of illegal immigrants flooding the nation’s capital and utilizing homeless shelters and other city services.
Months after Texas and Arizona began busing illegal immigrants to Washington, D.C., claiming that the federal government is the cause of the overall border crisis, the nation’s capital is finally getting a taste of what border states have been experiencing thanks to the Biden administration’s lax immigration policies.
Bowser called the illegal immigrant issue “significant” and said that she is urging a coordinated federal response, going on to claim that illegal immigrants are being “tricked” into boarding buses to Washington, D.C.

“Well, this is a very significant issue. We have for sure called on the federal government to work across state lines to prevent people from really being tricked into getting on buses. We think they’re largely asylum seekers who are going to final destinations that are not Washington, D.C. I worked with the White House to make sure that FEMA provided a grant to a local organization that is providing services to folks. I fear that they’re being tricked into nationwide bus trips when their final destinations are places all over the United States of America,” the Democrat mayor said.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) has sent several buses full of illegal immigrants to the nation’s capital in an effort to manage the growing number of illegals pouring across the southern border. The governor’s order to bus migrants to Washington, D.C., followed complaints from multiple border communities about difficulties handling an influx of illegal immigrants.
Responding to Bowser’s comments, Fox News host Pete Hegseth noted how ironic it was for the mayor to call for a coordinated response from the Biden administration, considering the fact that it is what Republicans have been calling for since President Joe Biden took office and began chipping away at former President Donald Trump’s border security policies.
“I’ve been wanting Greg Abbott to declare an invasion which gives constitutionally the state of Texas additional powers. And I downplayed what he was doing on busing illegals to D.C.; I think I was wrong on that,” Hegseth said.
“They’re not being tricked. They’re being asked. They’re volunteering to go to Washington, D.C. as a result. Now they’re flooded in swamp. And she’s admitting what we always knew about big city leftist elitists,” the Fox News host added, noting that Bowser’s admission is that the “elite” class in the U.S. wants the rest of the country to suffer under their policy decisions, “as long as they’re in someone else’s backyard, not ours.”
Hegseth went on to wonder whether Bowser finally understands the real plight of officials in border states like New Mexico, Texas and Arizona where illegal immigrants have been flooding across the border from Mexico en masse for years.
“It’s one of the best examples we’ve seen yet of the complete double standard they live in. She just she said it on TV for us,” he said.
Gov. Abbott also responded to Bowser’s comments in a statement to the Daily Mail via his spokeswoman, Renae Eze, noting that the D.C. mayor is only seeing a “fraction of the disaster” that exists at the U.S.-Mexico border.
“Border communities are overrun and overwhelmed, and Governor Abbott launched the border bus mission back in April to help provide support to these communities pleading for help where the Biden Administration is dumping migrants,” the statement read.
“With our nation’s capital now experiencing a fraction of the disaster created by President Biden’s reckless open border policies that our state faces every single day, maybe he’ll finally do his job and secure the border,” the statement continued.

DHS tosses Trump-era policy, adopts more lenient welfare rules for immigrants

Homeland Security on Thursday announced it has adopted a new lenient policy on immigrants’ use of welfare, tossing a Trump-era policy that would have been far stricter.
Under the new system, known as the “public charge” rule, immigrants will only be penalized for potential welfare use if the government believes they will eventually become “primarily dependent” on government payments.

By contrast, living in government housing, using Medicaid for health coverage or accepting food stamps wouldn’t count against an immigrant.
Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said the new rule will deliver “fair and humane treatment of legal immigrants.”
“Consistent with America’s bedrock values, we will not penalize individuals for choosing to access the health benefits and other supplemental government services available to them,” he said.
But Emilio Gonzalez, who ran U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services in the Bush administration, said the new rule stretched the intent of the law.

“These people are doing through policy changes what they know Congress won’t allow,” he said.
The concept of the public charge rule is that immigrants should be able to pay their own way and not be a burden on Americans. A public charge policy has been in place dating back to the late 1800s.
Illegal immigrants are not supposed to be eligible for any public benefits, though they can accept some benefits on behalf of their U.S. citizen children.
The current public charge law was written by Congress in 1996. It allows the government to block entry — or to refuse to grant permanent legal status — to immigrants believed likely to depend on government assistance to support themselves here.

Illegal immigrants overwhelm New York City's shelter system

NYC Mayor Eric Adams said his city's "right to shelter" system is at its breaking point and that the city's prior efforts "must be reassessed." The city was unable to house all those who sought beds.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams said on Wednesday that the time has come to reconsider the Big Apple's historic "right to shelter" laws as he cannot handle the influx of illegal immigrants being bused from Texas. The city has identified itself as a "sanctuary city" where illegal aliens are more than welcome, and even sought to give non-citizens the right to vote in local elections.

Adams said the system is "nearing its breaking point" and "no city official, advocate, or court could have contemplated" how to manage the mass illegal immigration. The city has a policy of giving a bed to anyone who seeks one, and over the weekend, it was unable to live up to that promise.

"The city’s prior practices, which never contemplated the busing of thousands of people into New York City, must be reassessed," Adams said. His comments came after his administration failed to bed and shelter roughly 60 of the migrants who were recently bused into the city.

In April, Texas Governor Greg Abbott contemplated on a way to manage and relocate the masses of migrants flooding into Texas. He promised to bus border crossers to blue states whose leadership supported open borders, such as Democrat Eric Adams.

Abbott's measure comes as the Biden administration has seen a record-high number of illegal immigrants pouring into the United States along the country's southern border.

"No city official, advocate, or court ever could have contemplated the unprecedented crisis. We’re saying the whole system needs to be reassessed," said Adams' press secretary Fabien Levy.

The New York Times writes that "The math of migration has been relentless and unforgiving" as shelter populations have grown by about 5,000, or increased by 10 percent, since early August. The homeless in New York City's shelter system is 56,000.

There have been more than two million encounters with illegal immigrants in the 2022 fiscal year, which is a 22 yeah record-setting high. 1,659,206 crossed in 2021 and this year, month after month, hundreds of thousands of migrants pour into the United States illegally, mostly into Texas.

"In addition to Washington, DC, New York City is the ideal destination for these migrants, who can receive the abundance of city services and housing that Mayor Eric Adams has boasted about within the sanctuary city," Abbott said of Adams. "I hope he follows through on his promise of welcoming all migrants with open arms so that our overrun and overwhelmed border towns can find relief."

New York City has a 35-year-old "right to shelter" law that was affirmed in the final judgment in the 2008 case Boston v. City of New York. No matter the burden, it's NYC law that if someone arrives at a designated city facility seeking shelter, they must be housed by the next morning.

Prior to the Texas governor sending migrants to NYC, the Biden administration had been quietly doing the same thing, often giving them faulty information on where to go. Adams said on July 21 that he could not handle a recent increase of 2,800 migrants into NYC's homeless and public welfare programs and that it was a real "burden" to the already "overburdened shelter system." Abbot asked the Biden Administration for help, to no avail.

According to News 4, the NYC shelter system had been taxed less from an increase of migrants and more because of issues such as understaffing and a recent rise in evictions.

On August 4, the first busload of about 50 illegal immigrants from Texas arrived in NYC at NYC's Port Authority bus terminal.

On August 7, another bus of border crossers from Texas arrived, but only 14 illegal immigrants got off the bus out of an expected 40. Adams said his city has proven too crime-ridden even for illegal immigrants, many of whom absconded anywhere else while in transit to avoid landing in his metropolis.

Mayor Adams Calls Migrants Bussed to NYC a “Humanitarian Crisis” But Disagrees that the Biden Regime Should Focus More on the Illegal Immigration Crisis

On Sunday, New York City Democrat Mayor Eric Adams spoke with CNN’s Jake Tapper about the city’s difficulties in handling the influx of illegal migrants bussed from Texas.
Adams expressed concern that New York City is “nearing its breaking points” and suggested that cruise ships be brought in to house the illegal aliens temporarily.
He said the bussing of illegal migrants to NYC is a “humanitarian crisis created by human hand” that requires an “all-hands-on-deck moment” coordination from the US government.
“We should be clear that this is, as stated, a humanitarian crisis created by human hands and it is an all-hands-on-deck moment where we’re all supposed to come together and coordinate,” said Adams.
“Coordination during the crisis is something that we must do together and that’s the federal government that is also the governor of the state of Texas as well as the governor of the state of Florida. We should not be really treating other cities and municipalities in the manner that we’re witnessing now. And so we need resources for housing, resources to make sure that we could properly give people medical care, all of the basic necessities that you would give new arrivals that enter the city,” he added.
During the interview, Jake Tapper confronted him with the reality of the situation and said, “So you’re struggling to process the 2,500 migrants sent to you from Texas. Meanwhile, the El Paso sector of the border sees an average of 1,700 migrants crossing every single day. A record 1.9 million migrants have been apprehended on the southwest border this fiscal year alone.”
Adams took a dramatic pause before answering Tapper’s question on whether he agrees that the Biden administration should focus more on the illegal immigration crisis.
“No, I believe it’s a crisis that needs more coordination from our country. This is one country, this is a country that has always been capable of handling those who were seeking to participate in the American Dream. And that coordination should be not only on the federal level, the state level, but even cities to cities,” Adams responded.

Adams stated that New York City would remain a sanctuary city under his administration over a year ago. Despite his portrayal of the immigration situation as a humanitarian crisis, he urged illegal immigrants to come to the United States.

Meanwhile, Abbott just sent more buses full of illegals to New York City, according to Fox News.

When the Democrats talk about coordination, this is what they mean.

Democrat Mayor Eric Adams’ Top Aide Admits Illegal Alien Crisis is Destroying New York City

Infowars.com

"I think the optics of this are bad for Biden and bad for the mayor," says aide.

A top aide for Democrat New York City Mayor Eric Adams admitted in undercover footage released by Project Veritas on Tuesday that the illegal alien crisis brought on by Joe Biden’s open-border policy is destroying the city.

Chris Baugh, an Advance Team Aide for Adams, lamented that Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s (R) scheme to ship illegal migrants to New York – which bills itself as a “sanctuary city” – as a political statement has been “effective.”

“There was talk about us just limiting the number of migrants we would accept, and I’m glad we didn’t do it that way. But I still think what [Texas Governor] Abbott was doing has proven effective. Like, it’s flooded our system,” Baugh told a PV journalist.

“We have more people in social services than we’ve ever have — potentially ever in history. So, it’s effectively demonstrating the strain.”

Baugh went on to explain that the migrant influx poses a major optics disaster for Biden.

“Frankly, I don’t know how much Biden is going to appreciate having a mayor be like, ‘Hey, you owe blue cities money because of this migrant crisis,'” he said. “Like, eventually that’s going to make Biden look bad. We’re a month out [until] midterms and he is not going to like that. It’s a very perilous situation for him and I don’t know that Eric Adams is capable enough to navigate it.”

“I think the optics of this are bad for Biden and bad for the mayor, and I think Biden saying, ‘Alright, I’m just gonna give money to New York City because they can’t take care of these migrants’ is just gonna be bad politics for him.”

In response to the damning video, Adams’ press secretary Fabien Levy responded with claims the video was “spliced” to “spin false narratives.”

“Time and again, Project Veritas has lied and spliced video to spin false narratives and deceive the American people. No one has any reason to believe a word from an enterprise run by a convicted criminal and one that admitted to lying in an effort to even have a conversation with a member of our team.”

Project Veritas plans to release Part 2 of this story exclusively on its Telegram channel Wednesday evening.
