MARSHALL, TX (KSLA) -
A Marshall, Texas student says the administration at Marshall Junior High School used a permanent marker to fill in lines shaved into his hair. Sheldon Williams said he's had his hair styled like that for a long time and never had any problems.

According the MJHS Student Handbook, "designs shaved into the hair" are prohibited under the uniform policy. Sheldon's stepmother told KSLA News 12 it wasn't the rule that she disagreed with, but rather how the school handled the situation. Williams said his parents were never called.

School administrators Tuesday said they regret not calling his parents and don't plan to handle the hair designs the same way again. The principal, who started her first year at the school this August, said she was told by another faculty member that they had handled the problem with a marker in the past.

Cobb hair heist caught on video

Video at link!

Metro Atlanta police departments are all too familiar with the smash-and-grabs targeting expensive hair extensions at local beauty products shops.

Marietta police released video Wednesday of two suspects making a mad dash for extensions this week on Delk Road and are seeking the public's help in capturing the Cobb County thieves.

The video recorded the heist at 4 a.m. Tuesday at Top 1 Beauty Supply in the 1200 block of Delk Road. One male is seen walking in front of the business while another one waits nearby. Police said one nigger used a rock to smash a window to gain access. Soon both suspects can be seen running away with two large bags.

Police say an estimated $15,000 worth of human hair used for weaves was stolen.

The two males are believed to be in their 20s.

The smash-and-grabs have become common across the city, with suspects often using stolen vehicles to gain entry to businesses, and the thieves are in and out within a few minutes. In one heist in Morrow, thieves took at least $100,000 in weaves, police said.
