INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis police say a man suspected of robbing a lounge lost the loot because his moneybag had a hole in it.

The incident happened late Friday outside of a bar in the 2800 block of Medford Avenue, on the city's west side, according to WFBM-TV.

Police said Sharife Doorah, 23, led them on a chase after taking about $8,000 from the Sakittome Lounge.

"Upon arrival, they were told the suspect just went out the backdoor. In fact, he was getting into a vehicle carrying a bag of money with him," said In

dianapolis police Sgt. Don Weilhammer.

Police chased Doorah around the neighborhood before he bailed out of his vehicle and took off on foot.

A police canine chased Doorah and that's when police said the chase took a peculiar turn.

"As he was running, the bag had a hole in it. So there was money going everywhere in the neighborhood as he was running," Weilhammer said.
The money flew around the getaway car and onto the streets. :rotfl:

"There were people coming out of houses trying to pick up money as we were trying to secure it," Weilhammer said. "I believe most of the money was recovered. There might be a little bit of change that wasn't."

Police said they were still finding loose change an hour after the incident, but they believe most of the bills were fo
