Guitar legend Carlos Santana has accused the music press of racismafter they failed to adequately cover the death of jazz icon Elvin Jones.
The Smooth star was left furious by the lack of attention and respect given to 76-year-old Jones following his death on May 18 from heart failure.
Santana blames the media's obsession with white musicians for their failure to pay proper tribute to the Dear John C hero.
Santana fumes: "'m really embarrassed for this nation, and for MTV and VH1 and Rolling Stone, because it was a very racist thing not to acknowledge this most important musician when he passed away.
