Road rage shooting leaves 2 injured in Newport Beach​

NEWPORT BEACH – A man was in the hospital after a shooting in Newport Beach and Wednesday police are investigating the shooting as a possible road rage incident.
Newport Police Department officers responded at 12:22 a.m. to a Shell station in the 1600 block of Jamboree Road where they found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds, County News reported.
Police also found a Tesla with bullet holes at the gas station.
KABC 7 reported the man, who said he was in the Tesla, told police the assailants shot at him near the Newport Beach Pier in what he said could have been due to road rage.
The man was taken to a hospital in an unknown condition. Two of the Tesla’s passengers remained at the scene and were interviewed by police.
There was no description of the shooters.
