Missouri freshman charged with rape

Missouri freshman linebacker Alvin Newhouse was charged Monday with forcible rape and forcible sodomy, police said. University police Capt. Brian Weimer said the victim came to police Sunday afternoon, accusing Newhouse of raping her early that morning in his Graham Hall dorm room. Newhouse also had an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court from a campus violation, police said.
