A Bradford sex offender who police have branded a risk to women and children, is being hunted tonight after going missing from a mental hospital in West Yorkshire.
Mohammed Rafiq Passwala, 52, left Fieldhead Hospital in Wakefield shortly after 9am last Thursday after being given unsupervised leave – and has not been seen since.
Police and South West Yorkshire Mental Health Trust, which runs the hospital, today put out an urgent appeal to trace him.
Passwala is originally from Bradford and was convicted of sexual offences in 1996.

ce spokesman said. “Passwala is considered a risk to women and young children.
“Members of the public who see him are asked not to approach him.â┚¬
Passwala is described as Asian, 5 ft 7in tall, of stocky build with black/grey hair and a full beard.
At the time of his disappearance he was wearing grey traditional Asian dress.
Inquiries reveal he may be in the Dewsbury or Ravensthorpe areas.
