An NYPD lieutenant tasked with making the department more equitable and inclusive has been suspended amid sexual misconduct allegations.
Lt. Jose Briceno was taken off the job without pay last week after a female officer said he made inappropriate statements about her appearance and touched her hips, shoulders and back, according to police.
Briceno, a 17-year veteran of the force, worked as an integrity officer at the Office of Equity and Inclusion, cops said.
The Civilian Complaint Review Board found that he abused his authority by threatening force in a Corona, Queens incident in 2007, according to Pro Publica.
Sanctions against Briceno were first reported by WPIX.
