A 16-year-old boy was saved from an unprovoked, broad-daylight stabbing outside a Queens school building this week — when his baby-faced attacker’s knife somehow broke, cops said.
The victim was standing at a bus stop in front of 91-30 Metropolitan Ave. — home to three different schools — in Forest Hills around 3:50 p.m. Tuesday when a stranger approached him and plunged a knife into his chest without saying a word, police said.

But as soon as the knife made contact with the victim’s shirt, it broke — and the teen was unharmed, cops said. It’s unclear what caused the knife to break.
He refused medical attention, authorities said.
The would-be assailant then ran off, police said.

Video shows the suspect — who appears to be a teen himself — wearing a black T-shirt and green patterned shorts.
Cops also released a photo of the knife, with the blade severed from its handle.

The three schools housed in the building — which were dismissing students at the time — are the Q167 Metropolitan Expeditionary Learning School, Q686 Queens Metropolitan High School and P.S. Q233.

It’s unclear whether the victim or suspect has any connection to the schools, cops said.
