Suspects on the Run
This week Crime Stoppers needs your help in locating two men who are on the run from the law. Both men were once employees at a Nissan supplier. They're suspected of stealing a large amount of money from their employer. You could be rewarded for information that leads to their arrest.
Authorities in Madison are searching for 29-year-old Lashorn Halbert of Ridgeland and 29-year-old Robert Orlanda Owens of Jackson for defrauding a Nissan supplier. Investigators say while working at M-Tek as a security guard Lashorn Halbert
was responsible for turning in timecards for temporary employees. They say he found a way to manipulate timesheets and add hours to employee
timecards that they didn't work, for a fee. Halbert is charged with six counts of felony false pretense. Robert Owens faces one count of felony false pretense for paying Halbert to put extra hours on his timecard to receive hundreds of dollars illegally. Owens fled from officers when they tried to apprehend him at his home on Dixie Drive in Jackson.
