Shocking video emerged this week of a wild theft at a Louis Vuitton store inside a ritzy Westchester mall where two suspects made off with several pricey purses.
Multiple people inside the store, presumably employees, try to stop the brazen shoplifters – but the mall security guard at The Westchester in White Plains simply watches on from afar as the chaos unfolds, according to a video posted to TikTok by user mcloud.9.
During the theft, which White Plains police say took place last month, one man was filmed pacing out of the high-end shop with two handbags.
The other male suspect’s escape wasn’t as smooth – as multiple people inside the store tried to wrestle away the expensive purses he was stealing.
But, ultimately, the second suspect also walks from the store and breezes past the security guard with two purses in hand, the video shows.
Onlookers were shocked over the brazen shoplifting.
The mall was also the site of another theft at Burberry, according to another video posted to Twitter by former Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino, a Republican candidate for governor.
In the Burberry theft, two men could be seen fleeing the store cradling armfulls of merchandise.
White Plains police said in a Facebook post that they are investigating both thefts.
The department did not specify the exact dates the crimes were committed.
No arrests were reported in either case.
Louis Vuitton’s parent company LVMH declined to comment.

The mall condemned the thefts in a statement and said they have beefed up security in their wake.
“The crime depicted in this video is unacceptable and we are fully cooperating with the White Plains Police Department in their investigation,” a spokesperson for The Westchester said.
“We have taken a number of additional steps to further enhance the security program at The Westchester, including adding White Plains police officers to patrol the property, increasing additional private security patrol, deploying specially trained K-9 patrols, among other measures.”

Surveillance Video Captures 2 Women Steal $10,000 Worth Of Makeup From Exton Ulta

By Kerri CorradoFebruary 8, 2022 at 10:20 pm

EXTON, Pa. (CBS) – Gone in 15 minutes. Police say two women worked together to steal $10,000 worth of high-end cosmetics from an Ulta store in Exton. Detectives believe these women are no strangers to this kind of theft.
Surveillance video captures a thief nonchalantly stuffing high-end makeup into her purse. Her accomplice was on the lookout inside this Exton Ulta.
“This is unique. This is just two females going in there, appear to know what they are doing, very effective at what they do and they were able to get out with that amount of makeup,” an official said.
The stolen makeup was worth a whopping $10,000.
“That’s a lot of makeup and skincare stuff. I just put in a minor dent compared to that,” a woman said.
Investigators say the calculated thieves appeared to know what they were looking for and had a plan to sell it after the steal.
“Probably much easier to sell it to somebody who owns a business, a bodega, a flea market, something like that. They’d probably get more money than selling it online and it would be quicker,” the official said.

Police say they normally see fragrance thefts, but now they are seeing the switch to cosmetics.
Investigators have been in touch with other makeup stores and retailers and alerted them of the high-end makeup heist. They are asking shoppers to alert store employees if they ever see something like this go down.
“In this case, the employees were busy. They are distracted with other customers and they didn’t see it, but there were other customers walking around that may have seen something and could have reported it,” the official said.
Police say this duo was also involved in another theft in Newtown Square. If you recognize them, call police.

A day after a brazen shoplifter was seen walking out with a buffet-ful of stolen meat from a Manhattan Trader Joe’s, another thief has been recorded striking the location.
The unnamed man can be seen on video, exclusively taken by The Post, in an aisle at the grocery store’s East 14th Street location shoving two cans of soda into his pants and casually strolling out of the store.
“I don’t have to,” Wednesday’s alleged thief told a Post photographer outside the store.
“I used to have a job working all the time, ya know, not stealing, not having to really,” he continued. “No one knows with going on. This ridiculous nonsense, my family killed for nothing.”

A man snatched a $40 Nike running sneaker off a woman's foot in bizarre NYC theft

A thief yanked a sneaker off a woman’s foot on the staircase of a Brooklyn subway station this week, cops said Friday.
The suspect approached the 47-year-old victim on the platform of the Grand Army Plaza 2 and 3 subway station just after 11 a.m. Wednesday and followed her up the stairs leading to the street, police said.
There, he pulled her Nike running shoe, valued at $40, right off her foot, cops said.
The woman and the suspect had no interaction before the bizarre theft, police said.
With the shoe in tow, the suspect ran back down into the train station, jumped the turnstile and took off on a train, cops said.
The victim did not report any injuries.

A pair of robbers swiped paper towels from a Manhattan Duane Reade – one of them using a box cutter to threaten an employee who tried to intervene, authorities said.
A man and woman snatched four packs of the towels from the shelves at the drug store on Park Avenue South near East 28th Street around 9:10 a.m. Jan. 27, cops said.
When a 43-year-old worker confronted the duo, the male suspect pulled a box cutter on her and snarled, “If you keep recording, I will hurt you,” police said.
It was unclear whether the employee was filming the suspects.
The duo, shown in a surveillance photo released by cops late Monday, left with the towels, heading north on Park Avenue South.
No injuries were reported.
The incident came about two weeks before a shoplifter brutally attacked a female store employee who confronted him for pilfering products from a freezer at a Morningside Heights Duane Reade, cops said.
The man allegedly punched the 21-year-old worker in the face, grabbed her hair and threw her to the ground, according to the NYPD.

Just last week, a Manhattan Rite Aid home to a series of shoplifting incidents shut its doors, in a previously announced move.
Also last week, a man was caught on video by The Post allegedly stealing about a dozen steaks from a Manhattan Trader Joe’s on Tuesday.
The “hamburglar” heist prompted the head of supermarket chain Gristedes to reveal he plans to beef up security at his stores.

A Queens man with 167 arrests on his record was busted yet again this week for shoplifting from a Rite Aid on the Upper East Side, The Post has learned.
Jamel Pringle, 39, was nabbed around 8:15 a.m. Monday for stealing 48 items worth close to $430 from the drug store on Second Avenue near East 96th Street, police and Manhattan prosecutors said Tuesday.
As with most of his prior arrests, he was charged with petit larceny — a misdemeanor that is not bail-eligible under the state’s new criminal justice reform law.
Police sources joked that the serial thief “gets frequent flier miles” cycling through the system each time he’s freed on supervised release, thanks to the controversial bail reform laws.
But on Tuesday, a Manhattan judge finally ordered Pringle held on bail — at the request of prosecutors — saying she didn’t believe he would return to court otherwise.
“It would take me all day to go through this rap sheet,” Judge Rachel Pauley said at Pringle’s arraignment in Manhattan Criminal Court as she set his bail at $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.
Jamel PringlePringle was arrested on Feb. 14, 2022, for stealing 48 items worth close to $430 from the drug store on Second Avenue near East 96th Street.Steven Hirsch
Prosecutors from District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office had requested bail, citing an amendment to the law that allows repeat offenders who commit a new felony or class A misdemeanor while out on a similar offense to have bail set if both crimes involved harm to a person or property.
Pringle’s criminal history is “extensive” and includes one felony conviction, 88 misdemeanor convictions and 39 failures to appear, according to Assistant District Attorney Cory Robinson.
On Feb. 3, Pringle was given a desk appearance ticket for petit larceny and public lewdness after cops found him exposing himself inside a CVS on Lexington Avenue near 96th Street.
Pringle allegedly grabbed a tip jar containing $40 from a café at 102nd Street and Lexington Avenue on Jan. 24. The owner told cops Pringle had pulled the same stunt in November, according to a criminal complaint.

Robinson said Pringle took a plea for public lewdness just two weeks ago for exposing himself inside a pizza shop.
In January, he was arrested for petit larceny on the 26th, 12th, 10th and 9th — in Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island, police sources said.
Robinson cited an open misdemeanor case from July 2021 in which Pringle is accused of running after a person and their son with a stick, telling them, “I’m going to kill you.”
He also allegedly stood outside a barbershop while the parent and child were inside and mouthed “I’m going to get you” through the window, Robinson said.
The “only time” he appears at hearings is when he’s arrested again and arraigned, Robinson said, adding that Pringle “has been given every opportunity” to show he can abide by court orders and continuously fails to do so.
Jamel PringlePringle’s attorney said her client has been in and out of psych wards.Steven Hirsch
Pringle also has an open case in Queens, and just two days before the Rite Aid theft, he was charged in Staten Island with grand larceny for swiping an unspecified amount of cash from the tip jar at a deli, cops said.
He has been on supervised release since October 2021 in an open contempt manner — and despite that, failed to show up to court nine times in that case, prosecutors said.
Pringle’s attorney, Richell Lisboa of Legal Aid, said her client has been in and out of psych wards, most recently at St. Luke’s, arguing that’s why he hasn’t been making his court dates.
“He doesn’t need punishment, he needs treatment,” Lisboa told the court.
While the judge agreed that Pringle needed treatment, she said she had no confidence he would make his appointments.
“He’s not going to show up,” Pauley said.
The defense attorney countered: “You don’t know that he won’t show up … It is not up to you to say that he’s not going to show up.”
“It actually is up to me,” Pauley replied. “Your client has shown over 39 times that he’s not going to show up.”
As he was hauled out of court, Pringle rasped, “I’m in the hospital.”

His arrest comes after homeless career criminal Assamad Nash, 25, who racked up at least a dozen busts on minor charges dating back to 2012, allegedly slaughtered 35-year-old Christina Yuna Lee in her Chrystie Street apartment early Sunday.
Nash too was out on supervised release at the time of Lee’s murder — following a Jan. 6 bust for damaging dozens of MetroCard machines at three different Manhattan subway stations between Dec. 8 and Dec. 31, court records show.
Drug stores across the Big Apple have seen a recent rash of thefts — some of which have turned violent.
A shoplifter brutally attacked a female store employee who confronted him for pilfering products from a freezer at a Morningside Heights Duane Reade on Friday, cops said.
The man allegedly punched the 21-year-old worker in the face, grabbed her hair and threw her to the floor, according to the NYPD.
And on Jan. 27, a man and woman snatched four packs of paper towels from the shelves at a Duane Reade on Park Avenue South near East 28th Street around 9:10 a.m., cops said.
When a 43-year-old worker confronted the duo, the male suspect pulled a box cutter on her and snarled, “If you keep recording, I will hurt you,” police said.
Ashley Barrs, a security guard at the Upper East Side Rite Aid Pringle is accused of hitting up on Monday, called him a “regular” at the store — which she said gets targeted by thieves five to 10 times a day.
January 27, 2022 robbery A man allegedly threatened a Duane Reade employee with a box cutter during a robbery on Jan. 27, 2022.DCPI
“These thieves do as they please,” Barrs, 22, told The Post on Tuesday. “Some of them actually greet me, say, ‘Good morning’ and proceed to go steal.”
In Pringle’s case, Barr said he allegedly “stole anything he could get his hands on,” including food, body wash, household items, cleaning supplies, stuffing the loot down his pants and into four bags.
“He was very comfortable, confident, like a normal day,” she said. “He has no intention of stopping.”
“There’s so many people like him, regulars who come in the store to steal.”
Pringle is due back in court Friday.

A group of shoplifters who made off with a pile of $90,000 purses from a Balenciaga store in the Hamptons was captured by cops after a car chase through Long Island, officials said Friday.
The five-person crew from Newark, NJ — three men and two women — walked into the luxury fashion store in East Hampton Village at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, grabbed a number of expensive handbags in under half a minute and took off in a black Dodge Durango, cops said.
New York State Police later spotted the car on Sunrise Highway near the Westhampton Beach exit and gave chase until the car got a flat near exit 69 on the Long Island Expressway, where the alleged thieves ditched the car and ran out in a wooded area next to the highway, police said.
By 6:30 p.m., cops had caught up to three of the men — Ali Harris, 28, Jamal Johns, 25, and Wazir Rodgers, 25, — and one of the women, Baseemah Tamika Davis, 34.
The fifth member of the crew remains in the wind.

Gunmen force man to ground after storming Bronx home

A robber was caught on camera forcing a 54-year-old man to lie down in a Bronx apartment at gunpoint — stealing nearly $40,000 in jewelry, including a diamond-studded Rolex, according to cops.
Footage from just before 3:30 p.m. Tuesday shows the victim first forced to raise his hands as a robber pulls a handgun from his camouflage jacket and points it straight at him.
As the attacker appears to cock the weapon, the victim removes his own fur-lined parka-style coat and slowly crawls face-forward on the floor near two rows of cinema-style seats.
It was reported to police that on Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at approximately 1524 hours, at a residence in the vicinity of East 165 Street and Cauldwell Avenue, a male individual approached a 54-year-old male inside of the residence and displayed a firearm. The individual proceeded to remove the victim's chain and watch. The male individual was then joined by a second male individual who removed the victim's cellphone, car keys and approximately $300. Shoplifters busted after nabbing $70K in merch in Soho boutique heist: police

Video shows the moment a trio of thieves had their getaway foiled by NYPD officers after stealing more than $70,000 in pricey goods from a Soho boutique Sunday, police said.
The video posted on TikTok shows cops beating on the windows of the crew’s Dodge Charger with their batons and eventually arresting two women and a man who attempted to get away in the vehicle, according to police.
The stop came a short time after the three suspects allegedly went into Kirna Zabete at 477 Broome Street and “removed items from the display cases and racks,” the NYPD said. The threesome then ran out of the store and jumped into the Charger.
“When officers attempted to conduct a lawful car stop, the vehicle refused to pull over and recklessly drove through traffic,” an NYPD statement said.

Cops seek tips on two gunmen caught on video holding up a CBD shop

Two crooks pulled a gun on clerks at the Zaza Exotics smoke shop in Brooklyn and made off with $1,000 cash and $4,800 worth of CBD liquid, cops said Saturday.
Surveillance cameras caught clear images of the masked male suspects as they ripped off the store at 122 Cozine Ave. in Brooklyn on Friday around 3 p.m., terrorizing its clerks, authorities said.

The cameras caught the suspects as they casually walked into the store.
One of the creeps pointed a gun at the 20-year-old clerk on duty, then reached across the counter to grab his collar. That suspect was wearing a dark-colored Nike hooded sweatshirt, black jeans, sunglasses, a white surgical mask, a black balaclava and yellow and black gloves at the time.
The worker crouched behind the counter, and his sweatshirt was partially pulled over his head.
Meanwhile, the second robber — dressed in a gray hooded sweatshirt, black ripped jeans, a black balaclava and black and blue sneakers — made his way behind the counter, where he punched a 27-year-old clerk in the face and pushed him to the floor.
The gunman then let off a single shot that didn’t struck anyone, and the men behind the counter tumbled over each other.
His accomplice grabbed two boxes which held cash and handed them to his partner then snatched a black bag, and the two took off. They were last seen jumping into a white four-door sedan that headed southbound on Cozine Avenue.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at https://crimestoppers.nypdonline.org/, or on Twitter @NYPDTips.

Nine teenagers were caught on camera brazenly stealing $2,300 worth of vape products and a fistful of cash from a Brooklyn store earlier this month.
The throng of fearless crooks barged in and ransacked Newsstand Vape & Convenience on 9th Street in Park Slope on April 20, police said.
Surveillance footage released by the NYPD shows four of the thieves walking right behind the counter to grab the vape products off the shelves.
The suspects can be seen stuffing the merchandise in their pockets in plain view of a helpless clerk.
Another angle of the shocking footage showed a different gaggle of five teens helping themselves to handfuls of vape products and candy from an aisle until they were chased away by an employee.
The felonious flash mob also stole $1,300 in cash from the register, police said.
The suspects, who remained in the wind early Thursday, are wanted for grand larceny.
