MARRERO, La. -- Based on witness descriptions of two men and a getaway car, Jefferson Parish sheriff's deputies arrested two suspects Thursday in connection with the armed robbery of a convenience store in Marrero that ended in the death of a store clerk.
Isaiah Doyle
Isaiah Doyle, 22, of Marrero
, and Jose Rojas, 20, of Harvey, told police they were heroin addicts and confessed to the crime, according to sheriff
's spokesman Col. John Fortunato. Doyle, the alleged gunman, has a lengthy criminal record and has been in and out of jail several times, investigators said.
Deputies said the 26-year-old victim was the daughter of the owners of Time Saver Convenience on Barataria Boulevard.
Authorities said the woman opened the store at about 6 a.m. At about 7:15 a.m., a man in a hooded sweatshirt walked into the store, pointed a gun at the cashier and demanded money.

Surveillance video shows the woman complying with his demand, handing over the cash and then showing him the empty drawer. He then points the gun at her and fires four times.
Witnesses told police two men fled in a gray Cadillac. Both were arrested a short time later
