The wife of Orlando interim Mayor Ernest Page was served with a restraining order for allegedly attacking a woman she says is the mayor's mistress, Local 6 News has learned.
Ernest Page was named to the city's top spot last month when City Hall was shaken by the indictment of then Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer. Now, he has been thrown into a scandal of his own.
According to a 911 tape and police report, the mayor's wife stalked and assaulted a woman identified in the tape as Beverly Bradford.
A court order obtained by Local 6 News accused Wanda Pag
e of "repeated violence" against Bradford.
Local 6 News reporter Wendy Saltzman asked Page, "I'd like to ask y
ou about the restraining order against your wife. Can you tell me about that?"
"No, I have no knowledge of it," Page said.
Page also said he had no knowledge of the 911 call Local 6 News aired Thursday.
"Are you aware of the 911 call that was made by your supposed mistress," Saltzman asked.
"No, I know nothing," Page said.
Page did say the woman is simply an employee at a day care and not his mistress, Local 6 News reported.
"Did your wife assault her?" Saltzman asked Page.
"I have no idea," Page said. "Whatever the restraining order says speaks for itself."
