Police Arrest Murder Suspect
Police say they have arrested a suspected kidnapper and killer.
Police say Darnell Alexander Reeves snatched Crystal Briggs and her 5-year-old son Jason Tuesday, after shooting to death 23-year-old Juan Marcus Seagle.
Reeves has been charged with one count of murder.
Police say it was an early morning argument that ended with gun fire at the Colonial Square apartments that started it all.
The victim's sister, Sarah Pack says, "They woke us up arguing."
When Pack came outside she found her bro
her shot to death.
Seagle was just released from prison two days ago. He asked his sister if he could stay with her.
During the night Sarah says her brother tried to protect a woman who was th
reatened by another man. It would become a fatal mistake.
Pack says, "He took the gun. Put it in his book bag,
I guess, and took Crystal and her son. Dragged him off and who knows," says Pack.
After the shooting, detectives say he took Briggs and her son, known as Jay Jay.
Police say they feared Reeves may harm the mother and her child. Five hours later the mother and her son were found safe at a relative's home on Sullivant Avenue.
