Fairhope doctor indicted on statutory rape charges
(FAIRHOPE, Ala.) Jul. 22 - Indicted and arrested: a Fairhope doctor faces second-degree rape charges.
His alleged victim: a fourteen-year-old girl.
Dr. Joseph Ndolo is not speaking on the second-degree statutory rape charge he faces. But his patients are.

He's an outstanding doctor, a wonderful husband and neighbor, said Allison Silvio.
The 14-year-old alleged victim told c
hild protective service officers in Denton, Texas that the doctor had raped her during a visit to Fairhope la
st summer. Investigators launched their probe in September, traveling to Texas to interview the teen-aged girl and gather physical evidence.
"Upon the investigator's return, the doctor was interviewed and physical evidence was obtained, said Fairhope police chief Chris Browning, and as a culmination of all that, the information was presented to a grand jury, who indicted the doctor for rape in the second degree.
An internal medicine specialist in private practice, Ndolo has also been on Thomas Hospital's staff since January of 1998.
The hospital's medical staff is conducting its own investigation into the nature of the charges against Ndolo, and will recomm
end whether any action should be taken by the hospital administration.
While that investigation takes place, Dr. Ndolo will remain on Thomas Hospital's staff.
Ndolo remains free
