Cops: Homeless man accused of rape, robberies in Yonkers

A homeless man faces multiple charges, including rape, for a series of alleged crimes in Yonkers, police said.
Ahkim Blount, 36, was arrested and charged with multiple felonies for separate attacks against three women, Yonkers police said Thursday.
Blount lives at the homeless shelter on the Grasslands Reservation in Valhalla. He was released from prison in 2014 after serving more than seven years for raping an 8-year-old girl in New Rochelle, according to the state Department of Corrections and Community Supervision.
Officers arrested Blount on Sept. 23 after he allegedly robbed a 22-year-old woman at the Cross County Shopping Center, police said. Blount allegedly stole the woman's cell phone, which officers used to track him to Getty Square, where he was arrested.
Police later connected Blount to two other incidents, police said.
Blount is accused of raping and robbing a 57-year-old woman on Belmont Avenue on Sept. 11, as well as robbing a 37-year-old woman on Bronx River Road on Sept. 13, he said.
