A 19-year-old Chesapeake man is one of five individuals facing kidnapping charges in North Carolina after an alleged burglary that ended in a two-state police chase.

Police have arrested three of the men and are seeking others, possibly from Chesapeake and Virginia Beach, said Chief Don Ryan of the Woodland
Police Department in North Carolina.

They are wanted in connection with a July 9 Woodland home invasion in which a woman was kidnapped, police said.

Marcus T. Daye of the 1200 block of Sir G

alahad Drive in the Camelot section of Chesapeake was extradited this month to Northampton County, N.C., w
here he is charged with breaking and entering and kidnapping, police said. An accomplice, Ronald D. Thomas, 20, of Franklin, also has been extradited and faces similar charges.

The two men are being held in the Northampton County Jail in Jackson, N.C. A third person, Shawn Ennis, 19, of Franklin, has yet to be extradited.

Ennis, who is accused of driving the vehicle involved in the police chase, faces the added charge of fleeing and eluding, police said.

A group of men allegedly went to the North Carolina home, kicked in the back door and entered, Ryan said. A woman inside the home attempted to flee through the front door but was stopped by one of the me
n.

After a struggle inside the home, the woman managed to break free and run next door, where a group of 50 to 60 people were holding a family reunion at a community center, Ryan said
