Man Sought On Drug Charges Is Person Of Interest In Girl's Death

NEW ORLEANS -- New Orleans police are asking for the public's help in locating 28-year-old Raymond Tilton, wanted in connection with narcotics and parole violations. Police said Tilton is also a person of interest in the death of a 14-year-old Gentilly girl.

According to investigators, Tilton is currently wanted by the Orleans Parish Criminal District Court for failure to appear. His last known address was 2856 Law St. in New Orleans.

led weapons, domestic violence, resisting arrest and auto theft.

Police said Tilton is also a friend of the family of a girl who was found dead July 20 in the Gentilly home she shared with her two older sisters. Police stress he is not a suspect in that case, but investigators want to talk to him.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111. Callers could receive a reward of up to $2,500 for tips on Tilton's whereabouts. Callers may remains anonymous.

Person Of Interest In Girl's Death Arrested On Drug Charges

NEW ORLEANS -- New Orleans police have located 28-year-old Raymond Tilton, wanted in connection with narcotics and parole violations. Police said Tilton is also a person of interest in the death of a 14-year-old Gentilly girl.

According to investigators, Tilton was arrested Wednesday at 7:47 p.m. by officers responding to a call about a suspicious person at Marigny Street and Robert E. Lee Boulevard.

Tilton was wanted by the Orleans Parish Criminal District Court for failure to appear on drug charges and a parole violation.
