* FAST FACTS:
* 35-year-old Mohamed Ibrahim Arrested Twice
* Witnesses say He Threatened to Bomb Several Businesses
* Ibrahim Now Behind Bars on a $50,000 Bond

(MEMPHIS December 28, 2009) -- Memphis Police have charged a man in connection with several reported threats to businesses. 35-year-old Mohamed Ibrahim is now locked up on a $50,000 bond.

According to court records, Ibrahim went to at least seven businesses where he threatened to blow them up if they didn't close. Eddie Adieh manages one of those businesses, a gas station located in the 3600 block of Summer Avenue. "He was trying to threaten us," says Adieh. "That was the stupidest, lowest thing anybody could do."

Adieh says Ibrahim was irate that the store sells liquor and cigarettes. "He said he's from Jihad," says Adieh. He says he convinced Ibrahim to leave, and then called police.

Police arrested Ibrahim on December 23rd just before midnight. They found him in the 4200 block of Summer as he was walking toward his car. Ibrahim was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon. He posted a $100 bond and was released on December 24th.

He was arrested again on Christmas Day, after witnesses reported a man threatening to blow up the BP Gas Station across the street from the Shelby County Jail on Poplar Avenue around 2:00 p.m. Friday.

After police arrested Ibrahim on the 25th, an FBI agent made the scene and collected three Islamic cassette tapes, a GPS system and several papers.

Ibrahim's wife tells WREG News Channel 3, her husband is not a terrorist. She says he is Bi-Polar and has been off his medications. :rolleyes:

Ibrahim is now charged with Commission Act of Terrorism, Disorderly Conduct and False Offense Report. He has not posted his $50,000 bond, and remains behind bars. He's scheduled to appear in court on January 11th.
