Police: Drunken Driver Causes Fatal Crash

FALLS CHURCH, Va. -- Thanksgiving got off to a deadly start in Falls Church, where authorities say a drunken driver slammed into a car at a red light, killing an 18-year-old man.
Fairfax County police said one of their officers happened to be waiting for the light in his cruiser and saw the whole thing shortly after midnight at U.S. 50 and Annandale Road.
Pablo Cruz of Northwest Washington is being held on DWI and involuntary manslaughter charg
es. According to police, Cruz drove his pickup truck into the back of a Honda that was stopped for the light

Jonathan Tyler Bentley, of Fairfax, was dead at the scene. He was in the back seat of the Honda. The driver of the Honda and a second passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries, as did Cruz.
