A Marietta man will serve a life sentence after he admitted to sexually assaulting an 8-year-old boy in his care.
Charles Garrett, 48, was accused of assaulting and molesting the boy inside his Roberta Drive apartment between 2015 and 2016. On Monday, he entered a guilty plea while jury selection was underway for his upcoming trial, according to Cobb County District Attorney Vic Reynolds.
Garrett pleaded guilty to aggravated sodomy, aggravated sexual battery, child molestation and cruelty to children in the first degree.
