Police: KKK-related fliers found in west Oak Ridge

Fliers with a letterhead from the United Klans of America were left in driveways in a small west Oak Ridge neighborhood this week in zip-locked baggies anchored with rocks, authorities said.

“You can sleep well tonight knowing the UKA is awake,” said the fliers, which announced a neighborhood watch and provided a phone number and website address. The website consists of white supremacist propaganda related to the Ku Klux Klan, Oak Ridge Police Department Officer Garrett L. Robbins wrote in a report Wednesday morning.

The fliers were allegedly left in driveways in the neighborhood between Bradley Avenue and Rand Circle, and Robertsville Road and Oak Ridge Turnpike, between about 10 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. Wednesday, the report said.

It is not clear who left the fliers, Robbins said.

A call to the phone number listed on the flier went to a voicemail message for a man identified as the national director for the Aryan Nations.

This makes no sense at all, what have you been smoking Officer Robbins?
