Hawaii high school closes after brawl, 8 arrests
By By OSKAR GARCIA | Associated Press – 18 hrs ago

HONOLULU (AP) — A high school on Hawaii's Big Island was temporarily closed after officials say racial tension and multiple fights this week culminated in a brawl involving 20 to 30 students, with eight arrests.

Police and state education officials said Kealakehe High School in Kailua-Kona was closed Friday as teachers and administrators figured out how to get control of problems with students as they begin finals next week.

Nobody was seriously hurt in a Thursday fight that led to a campus lockdown at the school of 1,600 students, Hawaii County police said. Police said eight students — seven boys and a girl — were arrested, charged with disorderly conduct and released.

The school's principal, Wilfred Murakami, said the fights resulted from ongoing "bullying through racial and cultural taunts."

"The result overflowed on the Micronesian side where there was frustration, yelling and screaming — a reaction," Murakami told West Hawaii Today. He didn't immediately return calls and email seeking comment from The Associated Press.

Hawaii Department of Education spokeswoman Donalyn Dela Cruz noted no one was seriously hurt but said there had been concerns about "social issues" at the school.

"Kids are taunting each other. Some resulted in physical altercations," Dela Cruz said. "Not many — no major injuries — but enough where it's caused disruption for the last two days."

Dela Cruz said a smaller fight on Wednesday prompted another campus lockdown, where students were told to go back inside classrooms and stay there.

Immigrants from the Federated States of Micronesia are a small but fast-growing group in Hawaii as a result of a 1986 pact that allows citizens from three Pacific Island nations to come to the United States in exchange for allowing the U.S. to use defense sites.

School officials are not just concerned about fighting, but posturing and students anticipating fights.

"People gather to watch and that needs to stop," she said.

Kailua-Kona, on the west side of Hawaii's Big Island, is known for fishing tournaments and hosting the yearly Ironman World Championship triathlon.

According to U.S. Census data, 17.5 percent of its nearly 12,000 residents were born outside the United States, with one-quarter of families speaking a language other than English at home. The median household income as of 2011 was less than $61,000, with 10.5 percent of people living below poverty levels.

Immigration from the Federated States of Micronesia, along with the Republic of Palau and the Republic of the Marshall Islands has been a source of tension for some residents in Hawaii, the closest U.S. state to the Pacific islands.

In the 2010 fiscal year, Hawaii spent more than $52 million on health care, welfare, public housing and homeless support for more than 17,000 migrants from the compact. In addition, education costs were more than $55 million.

2 Latino Men Arrested For Alleged Hate Crimes Against African-American Family

COMPTON (CBSLA.com) — Two Latino men suspected of being in a gang have been arrested for allegedly directing a series of hate crimes against an African-American family in Compton.

A statement issued by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) identified the suspects as 21-year-old Efren Marquez of Riverside County and 19-year-old Jeffrey Aguilar of Compton.

“These gang members believe that no one of any other race should live in that neighborhood apart from themselves so they began threatening and intimidating the family members,” said Deputy Aura Lidman of the LASD.

CBS2′s Cristy Fajardo reports that the alleged incidents began when the family moved into a home on 153rd Street. According to detectives, the gang members would drive by the house yelling racial slurs and threats.

Fajardo reports that the most serious of the incidents occurred on New Year’s Eve when the men allegedly struck a teenager with metal pipes just down the street from his home.

“At one point, one of the gang members allegedly pointed a gun to his head telling him that they would kill him if he and his family did not move out of the neighborhood,” Lidman said.

Deputies say the pair returned 30 minutes later with more than a dozen others and surrounded the house.

“One unidentified member of the group threw a large beer bottle through the front living room window, shattering the window,” the statement said.

Marquez and Aguilar were arrested Thursday and booked into the Compton Sheriff’s Station. Both are being held in lieu of $95,000 bail.

The Sheriff’s Department told Fajardo it made a third arrest while serving several search warrants on Thursday. That suspect had allegedly reached for a deputy’s gun.

Free America Rally- No Amnesty!
On Saturday, February 23rd 2013, hundreds of nationalists from across America rallied to protest the replacement of our population that is occurring through current immigration policies, especially the blind-eye, hands-off attitude our government has taken toward the tens of millions of foreigners who are here in violation of immigration laws.

Holding coordinated demonstrations in nearly a dozen states, activists from the Free America Rally! project spent the afternoon in their respective communities providing Americans our perspective on national sovereignty that is obscured in the media.
By employing the admittedly low-tech (but time-tested) method of sidewalk demonstration to reach the thousands of passersby who must have seen our signs and banners from the road or who were given a pamphlet or two when approaching one of our booths, FAR project organizers were able to put together what has become a rare sight in recent decades (and one that at least has not been witnessed since a similar effort was coordinated by numerous FAR participants around this time last year), namely, hundreds of white Americans all over the country showing other white Americans it is okay to explicitly advocate on behalf of white political interests and that, in fact, others are doing it!
Saturday’s largest Free America Rally demonstration took place at the steps of California’s capitol building in downtown Sacramento where politicians, including William Johnson and American Freedom Party members, addressed a captivated audience of hundreds including local communist agitators. Speakers addressed the anti-White ideology that prevails in much of the established political climate, educational institutions, academia, and pop-cultural climate. Mr. Johnson was followed by several other speakers, each one having to make his or her voice heard above the chanted mantras of leftist counter-demonstrators, who willingly corroborated the leftist doctrines that we protested!
There happened also to be another rally at California’s capitol building the very same day focusing on gun-rights and in protest of the legislation within the Federal Government that aims to strip Americans of the ability to defend ourselves and our families. Natural allies in the fight to ensure that future generations of Americans have opportunities similar to or better than those we experience today, numerous pro-2nd Amendment rally attendees came over to see what FAR’s California demo was all about, luckily (wouldn’t want to piss off those 2nd Amendment guys) expressing their sympathy with our position and enquiring how they might participate in future area events.
Saturday’s other notable FAR events included a rally at West Virginia’s capitol in Charleston, organized by Harry Bertram (American Freedom Party West Virginia chairman and 2011 special election candidate for governor), and a demonstration outside a federal building in Spokane, Washington. FAR activists also held less formal sign-waves or pamphlet distributions in Arizona, Maryland, Massachusetts, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and at two locations in Tennessee. Although weather prohibited planned events in New Jersey and New York, FAR activists from both areas have committed to rescheduling and will be heard from in the next couple of weeks.
By all reports, every rally was met by a supportive overall reception, indicating a potentially welcoming political environment for whoever is brave enough to take hard but honest stances on the tougher issues facing our country.
It has been asked by several coordinators that mention be made of the supportive environment provided by local law enforcement at those demonstrations where FAR coordinators sought legal sanction to hold their rallies. While it is understood that certain Federal agencies essentially pander to Marxist lobby groups (such as the Southern Poverty Law Center) and anti-white ethnic advocacy organizations (such as the Anti-Defamation League), FAR participants and other seasoned patriotic activists know that the personal opinions held by individual police officers are usually distantly removed from anything anti-American.
Although it is impossible to predict how the future will unfold, trends and circumstances point to a difficult road ahead for our nation, not least of the reasons for our peril being the current general level of apathy on the part of our people, which is truly astonishing and must be unparalleled in all of our history. While things must change, of course, nothing has happened before its time, and efforts by intensely motivated but small groups have only ever succeeded when they mirrored the underlying sentiments of their friends and neighbors.
Everyone who attended rallies on the 23rd genuinely cares about our nation and is determined to make sure our people prosper into the extended future, and we will continue moving forward with our activism despite the odds and alone if need be, but it will greatly help our chances, motivation, and cool-factor if others begin to support and help what we are trying to accomplish.
Before periods of great change there is always a time when people are still afraid to speak their minds, though they believe change is necessary. It is at this point that cutting-edge activists step into the vacuum of unexpressed opinion and give voice to what everyone already feels and thinks but has yet to talk about or organize around politically. The Free America Rally project can be a spark that eventually sheds light on an otherwise darkening political environment, but we’ll need your help.

Gang member gets 40 years for killing man in front of his son

600

March 25, 2013, 5:33 p.m.

A South Los Angeles gang member was sentenced to 40 years in federal prison Monday for executing a man in front of his child simply because the man was of Mexican descent.

Anthony Gabrourel, 23, also known as “Bandit” in the Pueblo Bishop Bloods gang, was convicted for his role in a racketeering plot that ultimately led to the slaying of Francisco Cornelio, 24.

Cornelio, who was not affiliated with any gang, died after Gabrourel shot him in the back with a shotgun. Cornelio was vacuuming his car with his 2-year-old son when he was killed.

Authorities said Cornelio was killed because of his Mexican heritage and Gabrourel and his cohorts were retaliating for the death of one of their own by a Latino member of the 38th Street Gang. The Pueblo Bishop Bloods have operated out of the Pueblo del Housing Projects in Los Angeles for decades, federal prosecutors say.

Gabrourel was convicted after the state unsuccessfully tried him in 2011. Two other men, Gary “Big J-Killa” White, 47, and Jermaine “Lil’ J-Killa” Hardiman, 31, were also convicted in the slaying. White was sentenced to 14 years and Hardiman is scheduled to be sentenced April 8.

The convictions are part of a larger federal operation against the Pueblo Bishop Bloods. For the first time in the Los Angeles federal district, a Bloods or Crips gang was prosecuted using the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO). Using the RICO act, 45 members of the gang have been indicted. Forty have been convicted, two are in state custody, two are fugitives and one is scheduled to go on trial in November.

Gang Member, 16, Sentenced To 90 Years In Prison For Infant’s Murder

COMPTON (CBSLA.com) — A 16-year-old gang member Friday was sentenced to 90 years in prison for shooting and killing a 14-month-old baby who was asleep in his father’s arms.

Donald Dokins was found guilty and convicted of murder, attempted murder along with gang enhancements by a jury, which had deliberated for less than an hour in April.

Mauro Cortez was standing outside of a house, holding his baby Angel, in the 105000 block of South Hikory Street on June 4, 2012 when Dokins rode up on his bicycle and fired off at least three rounds, hitting the father in the shoulder and the sleeping baby in the stomach.

Cortez survived with minor injuries, but Angel was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators believe Dokins, then 15, shot Cortez because he was wearing a purple shirt, a color associated with a rival gang in the area.

Dokins was arrested June 27, 2012.

Suspect Arrested For Allegedly Stabbing 2 Men In Covina Hate Crime
February 1, 2015 9:33 AM

COVINA (CBSLA.com) — A 19-year-old man was in custody Sunday for allegedly stabbing two men with a knife in a shopping center parking lot.

Officials are investigating the unprovoked stabbing as a hate crime.

According to the Covina Police Department, officers were sent around 7:41 p.m. Saturday to the 100 block of North Azusa Avenue for report of a stabbing that had just occurred.

A preliminary investigation revealed that Louis Vasquez, of La Puente, allegedly approached and stabbed a 27-year-old man walking through the parking lot towards a business in the shopping center.

The victim sustained a laceration to his right shoulder and left knee.

Police said Vasquez also allegedly approached and stabbed an 18-year-old man, who worked at one of the businesses in the shopping center, while he collected shopping carts in the parking lot.

The second victim sustained a laceration to the back of his right shoulder, authorities reported.

Detectives learned that both victims — black males — did not know each other or the suspect.

After the stabbings occurred, Vasquez was seen running northbound away from the scene.

Witnesses were able to provide a description of Vasquez to police on scene.

Police set up a containment area in the 800 block of West Edna.

Officers were able to locate and arrest Vasquez in the backyard of a residence.

He is currently being held on $500,000 for attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, gang enhancement, and hate crime charges.
