Nelson fisheries worker Hilton Hone Heke, who has been charged over the brutal rape of a woman in Nelson's Victory community gardens, has been remanded in custody to appear again in the Nelson District Court on Friday.

Name suppression for Heke, 22, who is from the Victory area, lapsed yesterday morning. An interim suppression order had been made at his first appearance in court on Monday so information posted on social media sites could be removed.

No pleas were entered on four charges of sexual violation, one charge of unlawful detainment, one charge of injuring with intent, one charge of aggravated injuring and one charge of indecent assault.

The charges relate to the rape of a 62-year-old woman while she was working alone in the community gardens on New Year's Day.

Heke's lawyer, Tony Bamford, asked for a remand until Friday for the same reasons as an order was made on Monday suppressing the name of the accused.

Judge Chris Tuohy said then the basis for the application was that the defendant had information on his own social-media site and time was needed to remove that and to remove other information that existed as a result of information posted to the defendant's Facebook site.

Judge Tuohy agreed with the argument that publication of the defendant's name would "create a real risk that it could prejudice a fair trial", if it came to that. The suppression order lapsed at 10am yesterday.

Mr Bamford said in answer to a question from yesterday's sitting judge, Richard Russell, that there was no indication yesterday of a plea to the charges.

The victim who is a volunteer gardener at the community gardens, was now at home with family outside Nelson.

Detective Sergeant Ian Langridge, of Nelson, said after Monday's arrest that the breakthrough came as a result of DNA evidence gathered. Heke was on the suspect list before the DNA match was discovered, he said.

Several of the investigation team commented that it was the most severe case they had worked on in their career in Nelson that had not resulted in a death.

The Victory community is planning a blessing and reclaiming of its community gardens at noon on Thursday, January 17. The ceremony will be conducted by Archdeacon and kaumatua Harvey Ruru.

The penalty for rape in the Olden Days was Death and should be. That Maorie scum needs to face Aryan Justice, not jewish "justice" which deliberately gives such outrages the equivalent of a slap on the wrist.

Man admits brutal sex attack

A 22-year-old man has admitted raping and assaulting a 62-year-old woman in broad daylight as she tended plants at the Victory community gardens on New Year's Day.

Hilton Hone Heke, a fisheries worker from the Victory area, pleaded guilty to seven charges in the Nelson District Court, including rape, aggravated injuring, and indecent assault.

Heke's victim, a volunteer at the community gardens, had been planting seeds alone in a shade house when she was set upon at about 2.30pm on January 1.

Crown prosecutor Sophie O'Donoghue asked Judge Tony Zohrab yesterday to suppress details of the brutal ''indignities'' suffered by the victim, who remained severley traumatised.

A revised summary of facts, released today, revealed that Heke pulled the victim's hair and punched her in the head and face.

Once she was on the ground Heke removed her clothes and continued striking her.

After what police have called a ''prolonged sexual assault'' Heke said to his victim ''Happy New Year'', before threatening to kill her if she called the police. He then attempted to blindfold her and tied her hands behind her back with shopping bags.

The victim was left with substantial head and facial injuries, including a fractured nose and two black eyes, along with other cuts, bite marks, and bruising to her body.

The victim managed to eventually free herself, dress as best she could, and seek help from a neighbouring address.

Heke initially denied involvement with the incident when spoken to by police on January 7, but he was identified through forensics during the inquiry.

Defence lawyer Tony Bamford told the court Heke was having ''some trouble comprehending what he has done''.

Ahhh, the wonders of diversity! And to think that we thought the Maories as poor disenfranchised natives. Well, they were invaders and killed off the native Celts, so we Whites returning to New Zealand was simply re-civilizing and recolonizing New Zealand.
Anyway we should have driven those savages right into the sea, rather than give those sea jigs equal rights.
As for that sea jig, the rope is the answer, not coddling in a NZ jail. We whites need to stop being embarrassed about being what we are and become Whites again. Only in that way will we rid ourselves of the jew and the mud scum like that rape ape, Heke.
As for the poor Aryan lady, she'll be traumatized for the rest of her life; most likely, her life will be seriously affected healthwise and lengthwise as well as quality wise. Rape used to be a capital offense and should be. It has NO place in a Civilized society.
