Prostitute Sentenced to Life in Killings

DECATUR -- A second prostitute has been sentenced to life in prison in the murder of three men in a one-night robbery spree.

Ameshia Ervin, 22, pleaded guilty Wednesday in the shooting deaths of Raymond Goodwin, 34, Claudell Christmas, 35, and Lemetrius Twitty, 29, in August 2002.

"I just want to say I'm sorry for the pain and hurt I've caused," Ervin said in court.

Superior Court Judge Clarence Seeliger sentenced Ervin to life in prison on the murder charges and 20 years for armed robbery. The armed ro
bery sentence is intended to keep Ervin from being considered for parole for at least 20 years.

Falicia Blakely, 20, was sentenced to life in January after she admitted pulling the trigger in all
r
three killings.

Goodwin and Christmas were robbed and fatally
shot in an apartment on Aug. 15, 2002. Twitty was killed in his apartment near Clarkston less than 12 hours later.

Blakely said she acted under orders from an abusive pimp.
