USA TODAY : Biological Man is Woman of the Year!!! (Amazing Progress)

Fake news giant USA Today has announced its “Woman of the Year” for 2022, and that “woman” has (or did have at one time?) male genitalia.

“Rachel” Levine, born as Richard, currently gets paid by American taxpayers to hold the position of Assistant Secretary of Health at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) under fake “president” Joe Biden. Before that, Levine was paid by taxpayers in the state of Pennsylvania to handle “public health.”

Now, Levine, an obese biological man who has long hair and dresses as a woman, is being celebrated by USA Today for being an ideal representation of what it means to be a woman in the United States today.

According to the fake news outlet, Levine holds a top spot among other “strong and resilient women who have been champions of change across the country, leading and inspiring as they promote and fight for equity, and give others a place to seek help and find hope.”

Suzette Hackney, USA Today‘s deputy opinion editor and national columnist, interviewed Levine as part of a profile on the cabinet member. Hackney described Levine as “the nation’s highest-ranking openly transgender official.”

Beyond working as the assistant secretary of health, Levine also leads the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, which Hackney described as “a group of 6,000 uniformed public health officers.”

The HHS also bestowed honor on Levine as part of a panel entitled, “A Conversation with HHS Women Leaders to Celebrate Women’s History Month.”

The model American woman is apparently a man who cuts off his body parts and dresses in drag

This is the same Rachel Levine, by the way, who early last year declared that minor children, meaning babies, should be allowed to get a “sex change” without permission from their parents.

To Levine, cutting off natural body parts to try to become the opposite gender, or some mix of the only two genders that exist, is “transgender medicine” that all children and babies should have access to on demand.

For this and other “accomplishments” throughout “her” career, Levine is being praised by USA Today as a model specimen for what it means to be a modern American woman.

Bulk Ammo for Sale at Lucky Gunner

While much of USA Today‘s profile on Levine focused on the “doctor’s” career, influences and interests, Levine was also asked to provide advice for “transgender, nonconforming, or questioning people.”

To this, Levine responded with: “You have to be true to yourself and I think that you have to be who you are. You have tremendous worth just for who you are, no matter who you love, no matter who you are, no matter what your gender identity, sexual orientation or anything else, and to be true to that.”

Fake “vice president” Kamala Harris was also included in USA Today‘s “Women of the Year” list, though it remains unclear what this laughing hyena has actually accomplished to deserve being included.

On second thought, Harris belongs on such a list if it is dominated by the likes of an obese transgender mental case who claims to be an expert in “health.”

“Is it not surprising that these images of man and woman can be so manipulated in our culture when we have done that with other vital ideas that we took for granted for so long – life, marriage, truth, beauty, gender, love, motherhood, et al.? What else is left to overturn?” wrote someone at the Christian Post.

“In their zealous pursuit of radical feminism, activists defined their goal as ‘equality’ with men and the means of achieving that end as mimicking and imitating men in all their activities. (This, rather than recovering and sustaining true femininity while seeking fairness in employment and education, e.g.).”

Here's more good commentary fm Gutfeld/FOX on serious philosophic issues. See, at the very rock-bottom, for first premises, science and logic are founded upon ASSUMPTIONS (which cannot be proven--because there's no prior premise for it), either OBJECTIVITY (Aristotle) or not, usually subjectivism or just plain-out mysticism. Science and logic absolutely require objectivity, suckers.

California makes history with first openly transgender judge, 58, to be appointed to bench in the Golden State: The former disability rights lawyer transitioned less than four years ago

Women System March 27, 2022

A disability rights advocate will become the first openly transgender person to be a California judge having been appointed Friday by Governor Gavin Newsom.

Andi Mudryk, 58, chief deputy director at the Department of Rehabilitation, will serve on the Sacramento County Superior Court.
She will be the second transgender judge in the state, following in the path of Alameda Superior Court Judge Victoria Kolakowski, who became the first openly transgender judge after she was elected in 2010.

'I'm humbled, honored and I'm thrilled,' Mudryk told The LA Times. 'I'm grateful to Gov. Newsom for creating a vision of California for all.'

'Andi Mudryk is a great appointment and will be a wonderful judge,' Kolakowski tweeted. 'I´m glad to finally have a trans colleague on the bench in California.'
Mudryk has the distinction of being the first transgender person appointed to the California bench. She transitioned within the last four years.
She has lived in Sacramento since 2009 and said she feels proud to serve the community.
She said that her experiences as a transgender woman, a person with a significant disability, the parent of an adult black man, and the descendant of Jewish Holocaust survivors has spurred a legal career spent that has seen her advocate for the civil rights of all people.
Mudryk, who has brittle bone disease, began her legal career in private practice, working for 11 years with Disability Rights California where she served in various managerial positions.

Mudryk, a Democrat, has a law degree from George Washington University. She will receive a $225,000 annual salary.
Her appointment comes as political battles are waged over transgender rights in the U.S. amid a culture war, and as Newsom seeks to leave a legacy of diversity on California courts.
On Friday, Utah became the 12th state to ban transgender youth athletes playing on girls teams when lawmakers overrode Gov. Spencer Cox's veto.
Newsom is scheduled Monday to swear in Justice Patricia Guerrero as the first Latina on the California Supreme Court.
She was confirmed unanimously on Tuesday. In 2020, he nominated the first openly gay justice, Martin Jenkins, who is the third Black person to serve on the high court.

LGBTQ organizations hailed Mudryk's appointment and its timing.
'As governors and state legislatures across the country attack the trans community, we applaud Gov. Newsom´s continued commitment to increasing trans representation,' Tony Hoang, executive director of Equality California, said in a statement.
'California continues to remind the rest of the country that LGBTQ+ voices are essential to achieve full equality.'
'The values of diversity, equity and inclusion are fundamental to the State Bar's mission, and I thank our Commission on Judicial Nominees Evaluation for their important work, and I applaud Gov. Newsom on his commitment to a diverse judiciary,' stated Leah Wilson, executive director of the State Bar of California, in a statement.
'Superior Court Judge Andi Mudryk's appointment is a touchstone moment in California history that will lead to more opportunities for transgender people throughout the legal profession.'

We Are at War Right Now – Catherine Austin Fitts

By Greg Hunter’s USAWatchdog.com(Saturday Night Post)

Catherine Austin Fitts (CAF), Publisher of The Solari Report and former Assistant Secretary of Housing (Bush 41 Admin.), says, “We are at war right now, and they are trying to kill us.”

Fitts is not talking about war with the Russians, but satanic Deep State globalists who are spraying us, injecting us and, at the very least, bankrupting us. CAF explains, “We are in a war. . . . What this is about is the ‘Great Poisoning’ with spraying aluminum overhead, nano particles in the food, they are trying to feed us insects and synthetic food and inject us with secret ingredients. What about this is not obvious? . . . Stop worrying about the collapse is going to come or the war is coming. It’s here, you are in it. This is what it feels like, and I am not saying it cannot get worse, but this is now.”

What about sky high inflation coming? CAF’s analysis considers increasing all-death mortality from the vax and other poisons “We the People” are being exposed to. This is going to have a big effect on inflation in the coming years, and it’s not what you think. Fitts explains, “I am going to be a really bad guy. We have serious inflation baked into the cake through the monetary policies, but you have to consider accelerated deaths from the ‘Great Poisoning.’ Those deaths are very deflationary. This will force a great deal of capital to the next generation. Depending on deflation from the deaths, that offsets inflation tremendously. It’s already offset it tremendously. . . . I think what we are looking at is much bigger than just the injections. I think the ’Great Poisoning’ is a much more complex, long-lived process, and that’s what’s going to hit.”

CAF dives deep on how you can fight back and survive the evil being done to “We the People.” Think local everything. CAF identifies who is doing evil to us and how we can cut off the money financing this evil. She also tells who the most important elected official is in every county in America and why you need to care who gets elected into this position.”

CAF says you must be knowledgeable and up to date about what is happening. In closing, CAF says, “I used to have a pastor that said if we can face it, God can fix it. I think reality is the doorway we have to walk through to find the pathway. . . , One of the reasons it has gotten as bad as it has gotten is many of us pretended it was not going on.”

Major News Outlets Announce They're Abandoning Objectivity, Claim Outdated Concept is a Relic of 'White Newsrooms'

Objectivity has no place in a modern-day newsroom because it's "a distortion of reality" that was "dictated over decades by male editors in predominantly White newsrooms and reinforced their own view of the world," so says our new media elites.

From The Daily Caller News Foundation, "Major News Outlets Say They're Ditching Objectivity In The Name Of 'Diversity' ":
Leaders of prominent news organizations are eschewing journalistic objectivity, claiming it is antithetical to a diversity of views in their newsrooms, according to a series of interviews conducted by two journalism scholars.

Former executive editor for The Washington Post Leonard Downie Jr. and former CBS News President Andrew Heyward interviewed over 75 media leaders to gauge how the industry views the concept of "objectivity." The media figures argued that journalists should include their own beliefs, biases, and experiences to convey truth, and that journalistic objectivity was either unrealistic or undesirable.

"Objectivity has got to go," said Emilio Garcia-Ruiz, editor-in-chief at the San Francisco Chronicle.

"ncreasingly, reporters, editors and media critics argue that the concept of journalistic objectivity is a distortion of reality. They point out that the standard was dictated over decades by male editors in predominantly White newsrooms and reinforced their own view of the world," Downie Jr. wrote. "They believe that pursuing objectivity can lead to false balance or misleading "bothsidesism" in covering stories about race, the treatment of women, LGBTQ+ rights, income inequality, climate change and many other subjects. And, in today's diversifying newsrooms, they feel it negates many of their own identities, life experiences and cultural contexts, keeping them from pursuing truth in their work."

"Journalists of color" and LGBTQ journalists said that reporting objectively "negates their own identity, life experiences and cultural contexts, keeping them from pursuing truth in their work," according to Downie Jr.

Journalists believe objectivity prevents them from accurate reporting, as it bars them from channeling their background and beliefs, the survey found.

"It's objective by whose standard? ... That standard seems to be White, educated, and fairly wealthy," said Kathleen Carroll, former executive editor at the Associated Press.

The media shouldn't simply use "neutral language" by default, New York Times executive editor Joseph Kahn said. For instance, if there is undisputed evidence of racism or falsehoods, journalists should be direct with readers.

how-nyt-covered-dreadlocks-hate-hoax-1.jpg

The New York Times demonstrates when it is appropriate to "be direct with readers" to fight racism and when it's best to use "neutral language."
The Los Angeles Times allows their staff to write personal essays so they can share more of their identities, said editor Kevin Merida. Such essays appear on the first page, including a gay reporter's story about marriage and the legalities of gay marriage.

USA Today has no problem allowing their reporters to write about their own experiences, so long as the stories aren't too biased, said editor-in-chief Nicole Carroll. She also welcomes a diverse group of journalists to express their experiences when discussing newsworthy stories.

"What we found has convinced us that truth-seeking news media must move beyond whatever 'objectivity' once meant to produce more trustworthy news," said Downie Jr.

Many of the interviewees seemed to be in support of such a change.

"This appears to be the beginning of another generational shift in American journalism," Downie Jr. said.
It sounds more like the end of American journalism rather than a new beginning.

That said, I actually applaud them for coming out and stating this all for the record.

Their statements are all objectively idiotic but they don't even realize it because they've abandoned all objectivity!

West's disdain for truth is leading to ruin

Link: https://alexkrainer.substack.com/p/wests-disdain-for-truth-is-leading?utm_source=post-email-title

Current historical juncture is a spectacular case study in unintended consequences and opposite outcomes.

Alex Krainer

It is almost surreal to contemplate the changes that took place over the past 12 months. One year ago this week, Sir Tony Blair published an article on the pages of his very important Tony Blair Institute for Global Change. It was titled, “The Immediate Challenge in Ukraine: Maximum Pressure Combined With Structured Negotiation” (as opposed to just ordinary kind of negotiation for simpletons).

The Knight Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Garter opens his treatise with the statement, “Putin has badly miscalculated,” and drivels on about how the West "has impressively united to assemble a vast arsenal of sanctions which will over time collapse the Russian economy. ... in the end, this aggression may well herald the downfall of Putin." Sir Tony portrays the man himself as an anxious wreck, "detached from reality and with no one around him prepared to tell him the truth." In other words, an archetype of a megalomaniacal cartoon villain.

But it was Sir Tony, and many others like him, who have proven detached from reality. As Niccolo Machiavelli wrote in The Prince, "Men will not look at things as they really are, but as they wish them to be - and are ruined." Meanwhile, the truth was easily discernible for anyone who wanted to see things as they are. On 25 March last year, a month into the Ukraine war I wrote that, "If today's geopolitics were a tennis match, this would be a 6:0, 6:0 for Russia."

Two centuries of Russophobia formed the western mindset

The problem was that for decades, and especially since Vladimir Putin came to power in 2000, Western media relentlessly demonized him and treated Russia with utter contempt, disallowing almost any objective reporting. Sadly, many in the West happily bought the Russophobia hook, line and sinker, perfectly content to nod approvingly at nonsense like James Clapper's cool expert opinion that the Russians "are almost genetically driven to co-opt, penetrate, gain favor, whatever, which is a typical Russian technique." Did you know? There's a whole different genotype to those dastardly Russians, so very different from that of westerners who are genetically driven to only do thoroughly good and decent things.
Assured of their own superiority and righteousness, western leaders took on the subhuman Russians, and remain to this day undeterred in their willful blindness. Now that the wheels are coming off of the cart, some are acknowledging the impending defeat, but cling to moral superiority: ya, allright, so maybe Putin is winning, but he's a thug! Seriously, I just heard that one this week. Is that supposed to be some kind of a moral redemption? What if that’s also false? Either way, what is the result? It might be worse than just 6:0, 6:0 for Russia - it might be all that plus bankruptcy and a heart-attack on the court.

Unintended consequences and opposite outcomes

The current juncture in history must be among the most spectacular cases for how ruinous it can be to disregard truth and operate on the basis of a distorted version of reality. Russia’s economy did not, "over time collapse," as our valiant knight opined, and the ruble did not turn to rubble as Joe Biden predicted. West's impressive "arsenal of sanctions" was in fact an impressive own goal. In addition to losing their geopolitical gambit, western nations are now drowning in bad debt, forced into yet another round of costly bailouts of our financial systems. As FTX is receding in memory, more wreckages have piled up with Silvergate, Signature Bank, Silicon Valley Bank and First Republic Bank.
But it could be worse: a group of researchers from Northwestern University, Stanford and Columbia Business School found that if half of uninsured depositors across the U.S. banking system decided to withdraw their money in a crisis, 'almost 190 banks are at a potential risk of impairment, and that the assets of US banks are worth a staggering $2 trillion less than their accounts report. How much is $2 trillion? Give or take, it's $6,500 per man, woman and child in the U.S. or $16,250 per household. And that's just the US whose banking system is believed to be relatively sound compared to European banks. Then we have Credit Suisse, the zombie that required a $54 billion bailout to remain undead.

Focus on truth and beware of psyops!

I must add however, that the above study should be taken with caution. It makes for fearsome headlines, but I suspect anything coming out of Stanford as a potential psyop. For such an extensive study that must have taken months to complete, its timing is very suspect.
Be that as it may, truth seems to have the habit of emerging always as the pivotal issue. Is it really necessary to state the obvious: that truth should be the foundation in all decision making, but especially when we're facing risk and uncertainty. Truth is one of the four principles of successful long-term investment management that define I-System Trend Following. The other three are: strategy, discipline, and patience. In fact, those four principles should apply to life in general.

Hopkins: The War On Reality (Revisited)

BY TYLER DURDEN
TUESDAY, MAY 23, 2023 - 07:45 PM
Authored by CJ Hopkins via The Consent Factory,

Link: https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/hopkins-war-reality-revisited

Reality isn’t what it used to be. It never really was, but that’s another story. This one isn’t about reality per se. It’s about the War on Reality, the one we’re in the middle of, the war that started when the War on Terror was cancelled in the Summer of 2016. It’s actually an extension and an evolution of the War on Terror, and the War on Populism, and the rollout of the New Normal in 2020 … but that is also another story. I want to focus on the war that is raging currently, on the Internet, in people’s workplaces, homes, among friends and families, and in people’s heads. I’m pretty sure you know the war I’m talking about, regardless of which “side” you feel you are on.

The War on Reality is a civil war, but it is much more than just a civil war. It is an asymmetrical, polymorphous, metastatic, multiplicitous war. An ontological free-for-all. It has no conventions or rules of engagement. There are no battle lines. The battle is everywhere. Alliances shift from day to day. It is chaos, unrelenting, inescapable chaos. An omnipresent, immaterial, omnipotent organism attacking itself. It is continual, and completely unwinnable. It is unwinnable because it has already been won. It ended in victory the moment it began, and now we’re doomed to go on fighting it forever, or until some less ethereal leviathan is born, or reborn, out of its ashes.
Unfortunately, that’s rather likely, the less ethereal leviathan scenario. It may not come about in my lifetime — and, selfishly, I’m hoping it doesn’t — but this state of affairs cannot continue indefinitely. As I wrote in an essay in June of 2021
“The global capitalist ruling classes are implementing a new official ideology, in other words, a new ‘reality.’ That’s what an official ideology is. It’s more than just a set of beliefs. Anyone can have any beliefs they want. Your personal beliefs do not constitute ‘reality.’ In order to make your beliefs ‘reality,’ you need to have the power to impose them on society. You need the power of the police, the military, the media, scientific ‘experts,’ academia, the culture industry, the entire ideology-manufacturing machine. There is nothing subtle about this process. Decommissioning one ‘reality’ and replacing it with another is a brutal business. Societies grow accustomed to their ‘realities.’ We do not surrender them willingly or easily. Normally, what’s required to get us to do so is a crisis, a war, a state of emergency, or … you know, a deadly global pandemic. During the changeover from the old ‘reality’ to the new ‘reality,’ the society is torn apart. The old ‘reality’ is being disassembled and the new one has not yet taken its place. It feels like madness, and, in a way, it is. For a time, the society is split in two, as the two ‘realities’ battle it out for dominance. ‘Reality’ being what it is (i.e., monolithic), this is a fight to the death. In the end, only one ‘reality’ can prevail.”
I wrote that almost two years ago, in the relative calm before the storm of fascistic, hate-drunk mass hysteria and systematic official persecution that was unleashed on “the Unvaccinated” in the months that followed. If your memory of 2021 is hazy, my year-end column, The Year of the New Normal Fascist, or this video compilation by Matt Orfalea might help sharpen it back up. Since then, the madness of the reality-changeover in progress has intensified, albeit somewhat more subtly … or at least Keith Olbermann is not shrieking hatred like a meth-addled Goebbels.
GloboCap, Inc. and its innumerable subsidiaries, agents, assigns, political puppets, media goons, and other loyal minions are desperately endeavoring to enshrine the official Covid-19 narrative in the annals of “history.” According to new figures from the WHO, “almost 15 million excess deaths” (or “a total of 336.8 million lost life-years”) had been caused by the virus by the end of 2021, none of which had anything to do with ventilators, or the classification of anyone who died of anything (i.e., cancer, heart disease, an auto accident, etc.) who had also tested positive as a “Covid death.” Previously perfectly healthy young people are dropping dead left and right from heart attacks and other “natural” (or “undisclosed”) causes that have nothing to do with the experimental “vaccines” that they did not need but were coerced into taking, which saved millions or 100 million lives. The masks that didn’t work worked, except that they didn’t, but that was only if you studied how they worked in reality. Being locked down, forced to wear medical-looking masks, gaslighted and terrorized by official propaganda, bullied, segregated, censored, demonized, and otherwise systematically tortured, was actually good for people’s mental health, except for “people with existing mental health conditions, and children, and people with disabilities, and adolescents, and people without financial or social security nets.”
Meanwhile, cognitively dissonant New Normals are taking to the Internet to claim that no one knew better at the time, and that, OK, sure, “mistakes were made,” but if we “science-denying conspiracy theorists,” who they censored, demonized, and systematically persecuted for over two years, had just spoken up …

I could go on, but you get the picture … or, rather, you either do or you don’t. Because it’s not just the folks at GloboCap, Inc. that are fanatically waging this War on Reality. Everybody and their brother is trying to ram their “reality” down everyone’s throat. You got the “Viruses Do Not Exist” people. You got the “There Are No Neo-Nazis in Ukraine” people. The “Putin Is Our Savior” people. The Vote Blue Cult. The Multipolar people. The Transgendered People’s Army. The Doomsday Clock Hucksters. The Folks Who Still Listen to NPR. The Insurrection Truthers. The Insurrection Deniers. The 9/11 Truthers. The Moon-Landing Truthers. The Cult of Trump. The Church of Russiagate. The Rothschild Obsessives. The Anti-Racism Racists. The Anti-Anti-Semitism Anti-Semites. The Mass Formation Movement. The Cult of Marx. The Cult of Capital. The Climate Change Fanatics. The Musk Cult. The list goes on and on.
Historically, we humans have not done very well in such psychotic ontological environments. When “reality” is shattered into a thousand little shards, and things fall apart, and the center does not hold, we tend to get rather scared, and confused, and agitated. We start to panic. We try to put “reality” back together again. This does not work. This worsens our panic. We start looking around for a new “reality.” We start looking for a savior, a leader, a Führer, someone with a vision, and the will, and the power, to impose a new “reality” on the ontological chaos that is making us so confused and agitated, and scared, and angry, and restore some sense of ideological cohesion so that we don’t have to think about “reality” on a moment-by-moment basis anymore.
This is the time of dime-store messiahs, tinpot tyrants, zealots, gurus, hustlers, hosers, scam artists, quacks, snake oil salesmen of every variety, fanatical revolutionary movements, new religions and political parties, and so on. Typically, eventually, once the hapless masses have been repeatedly duped, and bilked, and betrayed, and gaslighted and humiliated to the point where they can’t even think anymore, literally cannot think because their brains are broken, and they just want someone to make it all stop … well, to rephrase an old Buddhist platitude, “when the masses are ready, the despot will appear.”
I think you know how this story ends.
The fascinating thing is, GloboCap, Inc. (i.e., global capitalism, corporatism, or whatever you need to call the supranational network of global corporations, governments, banks, military contractors, media and entertainment conglomerates, pharmaceutical behemoths, assorted oligarchs, non-governmental governing entities, etc., that are currently running the world) cannot afford to let that happen, and is tirelessly working to prevent that from happening.
Traditional (i.e., 20th Century) totalitarianism does not work for GloboCap, Inc. Capitalism, though it can adapt to anything, has never been inherently inclined toward fascism or any other form of totalitarianism. Totalitarianism is a value-coding machine. Its objective is to completely code society with its values, its official ideology (i.e., “reality”). Every aspect of society, not just politics, culture, and so on, but the most intimate aspects of people’s lives.
Capitalism is a value-decoding machine. Its objective is to completely decode society of any values that impede the free flows of capital, rendering everything and everyone a de facto commodity, transforming societies into markets. It can adapt to totalitarianism and other varieties of despotism when necessary, but left to its own devices, or … you know, granted dominion over the entire Earth, and every creeping thing that creeps upon it, it sets about decoding and destabilizing values, destabilizing value and meaning itself, until, ultimately, everything means anything, or nothing, or whatever the market determines it means or is worth at any given moment.
The point is, the ongoing War on Reality is not a means to an end. It is the end. The official ideology (i.e., “reality”) that GloboCap, Inc. is implementing is not a set of official values or beliefs. It is the absence of any values or beliefs, any non-commodifiable values and beliefs. Values and beliefs are fine, as long as they’re just empty signs, logos, meaningless identity statements, and not principles and beliefs you are trying to live by, and that you are crazy enough to fight to preserve. Those kind of values have to go, so that the people of the New Normal future can be free to believe that war is peace, ignorance is strength, two plus two equals five, men have periods, Donald Trump is a Russian secret agent and literally Hitler, Vladimir Putin (who is also literally Hitler) invaded Ukraine for no reason whatsoever, or certainly not because of anything to do with GloboCap, Inc., or NATO, or the non-existent Ukrainian neo-Nazis, and then destroyed his own pipelines in the Baltic Sea, or whatever blatantly ridiculous nonsense they (i.e., the people of the New Normal future) are told to pretend or to actually believe by Rachel Maddow and the other talking heads you saw in Orfalea’s video.
And, if that doesn’t sound like your kind of future, or reality, the “everything is a floating signifier” reality … no worries, you can always drop out of the “mainstream” and join the carnival of “conspiracy theorists, anti-vaxxers, Covid deniers, Russiagate deniers, climate change deniers, disinformationists, malinformationists, transphobes, white supremacists, violent domestic extremists,” and assorted other freaks and curiosities of nature that are actively being quarantined, or are quarantining themselves, in ideological ghettos where normal consumers never have to see them and they (i.e., we, the deviants and freaks) are preyed upon by legions of charlatans, demagogues, agents provocateurs, and other such spiritual and emotional parasites, until the day comes when we find ourselves spastically tweeting about an 86-year-old Chomsky chasing naked sex slaves around Epstein’s island, ripped to the gills on Viagra and Ecstasy, and probably freshly harvested adrenochrome!
That, or you could withdraw from society completely, and go live in a Kaczynski cabin in Montana, or Idaho, or wherever folks are doing that these days, as several of my readers advised me recently, and forage for berries, and barbecue squirrels, and, well, you know, defecate in a hole in the ground.
I’m sorry, I realize that all sounds pretty bleak. I guess I’m in a bleak mood these days, or running short on passionate intensity … or something. There’s no shortage of passionate intensity out there, if that’s what you are looking for. Don’t let me stop you. It’s just that, whenever I switch it off for a while, that passionate intensity, that howling maelstrom of warring realities, and listen closely, I hear the slouch of Yeats’s rough beast, whose hour, apparently, is coming round again.
I’m not sure which “side” it is slouching our way from, but probably that doesn’t matter.
Oh well … as the French say, plus ça change, and so on.
