Hearings reset for 5 rape suspects in Aliquippa

Preliminary hearings for five Aliquippa men accused of raping a woman Wednesday are scheduled for Dec. 22.

Hearings for Dayvon Cox, 21, Enrico Jackson, 18, Brandon Revis, 19, Demarcus Walker, 19, and Carlos Hicks, 28, were originally scheduled for yesterday in Beaver County Central Court.

According to a criminal complaint from Aliquippa police, a man, his girlfriend and another female friend were attempting to buy marijuana through two men later identified as Mr. Cox and Mr. Revis.

Mr. Cox and Mr. Revis had them drive from Aliquippa to New Brighton, then back to an abandoned gas station in Rochester Township.

There, ac
cording to the complaint, Mr. Cox ordered the two women to undress, and at gunpoint forced the man's girlfriend to perform a sex act on him and the other woman to perform oral sex on the man.

Mr. Cox then ordered the man and the second woman out of the vehicle and drove off with the man's girlfriend and Mr. Revis to an area near the Aliquippa High School football stadium. The girlfriend told police the other three men appeared there, and all five raped her and forced her to perform sex acts on them.

The suspects were charged with two counts each of rape and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, and one count each of sexual assault and conspiracy. Mr. Cox and Mr. Revis also were charged with two counts each of kidnapping.

Sexual Assault Vicitm Testifies In Prelim Hearing

(KDKA) ALIQUIPPA A woman who alleged she was forced to perform sex acts, and a second woman who says she was sexually assaulted in Aliquippa testified at today's preliminary hearing.

Five men were accused in the sexual crimes back in November.

Davon Cox, 21, Enrico Jackson, 18, Brandon Revis, 19, Dearcus Wal



ker, 19, and Carlos Hicks, 28, were back in court to find out if they will face trial.

The suspects face two counts each of rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and a count of sexual assault and conspiracy.

Cox and Revis also face ki
dnapping charges.

The woman who claimed she was forced to do sex acts before the other woman was raped was cross-examined by the defense.

The defense said her testimony was inconsistent because she didn't mention that she was forced to do sex acts in her written statement to police.

Additionally, she told police back in November that the men were wearing black ski masks, but today on the stand she said that they weren't wearing masks.

The woman defended herself by saying she was scared and nervous.

According to Aliquippa Police, the other woman claims she was kidnapped to an area near the Aliquippa High School Stadium, where she was raped by five men, and forced to perform sex acts.

Alleged Rape Victim Gives Tearful Testimony

(KDKA) PITTSBURGH The woman who told police she was raped by five Aliquippa men last November took the stand on Wednesday.

Her tearful testimony took place at a hearing to determine whether there's enough evidence to send the men to trial.

The alleged victim says it all started when she, her boyfriend and her neighbor went out to meet some people involving a marijuana deal.

"I was absolutely petrified and I thought I wasn't going to live," she said.

She says when one of the men thought he was being set up, he put a gun to her head and made her take her clothes off - fearing she was wearing a wire.

"He looked at m



e and said 'it's really sad I had to do all this just to get something from you,'" the alleged victim test
ified.

Once on the stand, the woman tearfully testified that the trip went from Aliquippa to New Brighton and back once on Carol Street in Aliquippa she was forced by Marquay Cox to perform sex acts repeatedly.

During her cross examination, the victim's father was escorted from the courtroom at the orders of the judge for allegedly making gestures to her during her testimony.

Earlier, the woman's neighbor who also says she was asked to perform sex acts was questioned about why she did not mention that in her written report to police. She was also asked why she told police that the men wore ski masks when they didn't.

The hearing continues tomorrow.
