Substitute Teacher Charged With Sexual Assault, Meet Teen At School
New information in the case of a former TISD substitute teacher accused of having a sexual relationship with a teenager.
Last Thursday, police arrested 39-year-old Antigone Overstreet.
Police say she had a 10-month sexual relationship with a 16-year-old John Tyler High School student.
KLTV obtained the arrest warrant affidavit. In it, Overstreet denied any sexual relationship with the boy. However, Overs
reet said she did meet him while substitute teaching at John Tyler High School.
The boy said he and Overstreet created and watched pornographic material together. Police said they later discovered that m
aterial during a search of Overstreet's home.
Overstreet is free on $50,000 bond. She faces sec
ond degree felony assault charges. Those charges carry a sentence of up to 20 years in prison.
Former Substitute Teacher Arrested For Sex
A former substitute teacher was arrested today for sexual assault of a child.
Antigone Overstreet, 39, allegedly had a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old student at John Tyler High School.
The allegation surfaced when the teenager tried to get help from police to get his property back from his ex-girlfriend. The teen said they had been dating from last December up until the beginning of this month.
According to Tyler ISD, Overstreet was a
sub for the past two school years. She was taken off the district's list in January because of an unrelated incident.
