Man accused of posssessing drugs in car, house, sweatshirt

DAYTON — Police arrested a man Wednesday, June 10, after they found 1.3 pounds of marijuana and cocaine hidden in his car, house and hooded sweatshirt following a traffic stop.
Shawn D. Daniel, 26, was arrested on a charge of possession of drugs at 6:40 p.m. after officers first stopped him for speeding in a 25 mph zone and failing to stop at a stop sign, according to a police report. Daniel told police he did not have a driver’s license, and during a search officers found $1,210 in cash in his jeans pocket and a large bag with 450 grams of marijuana in his car, the report said.

inuing to search the car, officers also found another 28.3 grams of marijuana in a baggie and a digital scale containing cocaine residue, which led detectives to obtain a search warrant for Daniel’s home, the report said.
At the home, officers found a plastic shopping bag containing cocaine residue in a trash can outside, a baggie containing 27.7 grams of cocaine in a bedroom closet, a baggie containing 3.3 grams of marijuana in a hooded sweatshirt in the same closet and a bag containing 98.2 grams of marijuana in a living room closet.
